Hamid Hassan
Looks like an international quality player. Has the ability to take quality wickets. Definitely one to watch out for in the future and over the T20WC.

I know its a ridiculous qn but is there a possibility to recruit him over to Bangladesh cricket in a similar fashion that England have done with many Irish players. The chances are less than 1% im sure, but would be a dream fit for our team considering our lack of pace bowlers.

^^ Yes, it is ridiculous and not likely to happen.

He was one of the stand out bowlers in the MLC. Very capable bowler.

We would be lucky to have a fast bowler of his abilities. Our best pacer ATM, the new Mash, is nowhere close.

Why would he even want to play for Bdesh? If anything, he will probably join Pakistan. That would be a good career move for him. But Pak already have enough fast bowlers, so he should try Ind. Then again, they are really closed minded when it comes to these things, and so is this board. But it's for their own good. And they might just open up a lil bit.

reckon pakistan would be lucky to have him at currant, junaid khan looks a decent prospect but who else do they have on the scene atm? cheema? gul? ok bowlers, not special, reckon hamid hasan is better or at least has the potential to be a really really good bowler, pretty much any team even top 8 teams would be lucky to have him in their squad/team.

Yeah he is absolute quality, but it will be hard for him to make a good career out of playing for the afgans. I think he will probably eventually move to another country, most probably england and try and gain english citizenship after 4 yrs or so. He would still have to play as an overseas player in that time.
But he is 25 and has a lot of ability. Its amazing that afghanistan can produce one high quality bowler like him and we can only produce one half decent bowler (mashrafe) across 30 odd years.

Physique, height, athleticism. All these factors play a huge role guys. I bet Hamid could wrestle about 4 of our guys-he seems that strong. Afghanistan will produce more of such bowlers than we ever will because of this reason.
We have a better chance making a 90 mph fast bowler by bringing an Afghan, Paki, Aussie non cricketer and training them, rather than nurturing one of our own. Its sad but true. Not saying we should do, but making a point. Since we cant produce such quicks, we should try to focus on skill and accuracy. Even that we are not!
A nice example for my point would be Dirk Nannes. The guy played his first real game at 29. Because of sheer pace and bounce he broke into the Aussie, Dutch and IPL teams.
