I don't understand the point of playing T20s. This is a CT year, and instead, they could've extended the ODI series to 5 matches. This will be my IX for the main forms:

ODI: Tamim, Sarker, Shabbir, Mushfiqur, Shakib, Mahmudullah, Mosaddek, Nurul, Mashrafe, Taskin and Mustafizur.

Test: Tamim, Imrul, Mominul, Mushfiqur, Shakib, Liton, Shabbir, Mehedi, Subahis, Taskin and Fizz.

It's really difficult to predict the result of this tour. Sri Lanka have actually done well with this new bunch of players. They just won 2 T20 series away from home, so that just shows how tough it will actually be for Bangladesh.

I'll be surprised if Bangladesh continues to lose all the games. Herath in tests will be really tough for our batsman. Someone such as Shakib should learn how to bowl in tests from Herath. I'm just glad Kumar retired from all-Cricket otherwise he would've been the main difference between the 2 sides again. I'm sure though Bangladesh will gain a lot of confidence with the loss of Sri Lanka's main trio.

In place of Tamim, Mahmudullah, Taskin and Miraz I will bring in SN, Tushar Imran and Abu Jayed and Nasir for the first test. This is sub-continental condition and I believe we will have better performance with this experiment. Taskin and Miraz will be toothless for Srilankans in Srilanka. I would rather keep Rabbi, Taizul and Fizz for the attack.

Squad will be announced tomorrow. minor changes will be made. Kayes maybe dropped due to 'fitness issue'.

Sri Lanka will eat us alive. Some people are taking this series way too lightly and might get a harsh wake up call. I will be happy if we manage to draw the test series and win few LOs. Series win will be bonus

As per news report selectors will go with the same squad playing India with 2 changes ... Shafiul out, Musta in / Kayes out, Nurul Hasan (wk) in.

Not final yet! Have to wait 2 more days I think.

^Nurul will come to the team as a batsman if Imrul doesn't recover. Mushy will retain the jobs of batting, keeping and captaining.

I don't think Nurul will get into the playing eleven unless he is keeping ... He will be in the squad as backup ... We have Liton too ... But then, Mushy is not going to give up keeping unless BCB/ Coach force the matter!

SL will eat us alive in the T20s. ODIs will be very close and Tests will be very close too. We have more experience and talent than Sri Lanka in both departments. B

But biggest factor is SL has home field advantage.

I dont think Sri Lanka will eat us alive. That Aussie team didnt have Warner, Khawaja, Starc, Smith, Maxwell, Hazzlewood...

Plus Sri Lanka hasnt won a T20 in that ground since 2012!

Wont eat us alive, but we must not underestimate them. Lot of the younger/emerging players are looking at this series as their opportunity to make a name.

I am very hopeful about this series for some strange reason. Rustiness should no longer be an excuse for the boys.

Still won a t20 series against SA in SA, though it wasn't a full strength SA team but still no small feat either

So Dickwella is suspended for 2 limited over games. Means he wont play the first 2 ODIs. Good for us as he can be dangerous if he can get going

^^ He will miss next the T20 against Aus, so that means he will be out for the first ODI against us.

This series is extremely important as this could set the tone for us for the rest of the year.
Also if we do well we will become confident winning overseas.

This is maybe more an imperitive on T20 than tests.
If Bangladesh draws the test,it maybe seen as a win in Bangladeshi eyes.
But 2 losses in T20 will have a demonstrative change on how T20 cricket teams are chosen in the future, the old guard inT20 rght in the firing line, where as draws or losses won't see much change to the test squad.

This is the key tour for Bangladesh. If they perform well then it will serve them well heading into Ireland and England. I'm more worried about our fielding than anything else. Fielding coach has been pathetic. Time for the sack. There's too much T20. The format needs to be cut down. Tour should've consisted of 2 tests and 5 ODIs. Key players will be Mushfiqur, Shakib and Fizz I feel.

Insha Allah Bangladesh will do really well this tour and shut all the critics up.
