Eat my words thread
it's a confession thread.
yesterday I wrote:
Mash should go back to BD and write PAlo columns
I also wrote :
tamim should be dropped and Junaid should be in and he is the top scorer today
Before the tour I was hoping Razzaq to go to honeymoon so that he will miss the Urup tour but he has done really well.
Your turn, confess in this holly month of Ramadan

there r soooooo many BC member who shud join this thread... why 1 or 2 matches becomes the indicator of a player's performance?? Tamim, Shakib, Mushy, Riyad, Mash, Razzak they r all experienced players n we all know each of them has the ability to change a game... why can't we be little more patient... I feel sooo bad when I see shobjanta bodhha members r galagaliying these players after 1 or 2 bad performance ...
Simon I'm not indicating u here... talking about the trend in BC...

You missed Nasir & Sir Ash on that list.
Nasir may be not experienced enough, but he has proven to be a match winner.
Sir Ash did his job perfectly as a T20 openner.

Yeah didn't mention Nasir or Sunny because they are still new... n I liked the boy Zia... have faith in him too.. give him more opportunities in both batting n bowling .. he willl b our power hitter pace AR..
no I still don't have that faith on Ash.. his approach n SR worries me... his brain farts more often than not.. that's not the case for others... it's hard to think of a good innings from Ash in intl match in the last couple of years.. But yes if he gets his confidence back or start to asses the match situation wisely he will of course b an imp part...

@mlle Oronnya , ya I understand yr feelings, we need to be more patient.
About Ash I think this is the perfect format for him, his SR is an issue but hopefully he will learn to accelerate at one point like he tried today with 4 boundaries, but it's great to see him consistent. He got safe hands which is another +

I also said drop Tamim and take Junaed but I refuse to eat those words. Although the highest scrorer, his inablity to rotate strike and dot balls puts tremendous pressure on the rest of the batting order. I still haven't seen much from him to be impressed for T20. This is his highest T20 score after 18 internationals.
Not particulary this series but I have been a vocal critique of Mushy's keeping. His stumpings have been solid this series and I am willing to take a step back on those criticisms.
Today was a gutsy win.
For the record, as much as the 2nd T20 is being classified as a 1 run win, the reality was that it was a 7 run win. Mullah secured the win with a ball to spare and all he needed to do was not bowl a no ball or wide last ball. Today's was a true last ball win. It shouldn't have been this difficult but these are the wins that build the character of the team.
We had no business winning the 2nd T20 but pulled it out. Ireland will be ruing that they couldn't do the same today under similar circumstances.

Why should we have to eat our words? When players go InshAllah next match e bhalo korbo, ar pore ek ek jon dabba mare tokhon kar shobdo ke khai?
This whole notion around BC that you can't criticize a player because he is Mash or he is tamim, is getting really annoying. All I saw in todays match thread was, 'where are the people who judged where are you now'. So what Mash picked up 4 wickets today and scored 30 from 13 balls. Come next series if his economy rates starts going around 10 an over than I will criticize him again.

I still think Tamim isnt comfortable in T20. I would still give him chances but i really think Jahurul has proven himself in the short time he has had.
The funny thing is if Shakibs economy rate is 7.50 in one match then everyone quickly jumps to the conclusion that 'Shakib needs to work on his bowling' or 'Shakib hasnt been bowling well lately'. Its kind of annoying actually so give it a rest guys.

But I still cant eat my words over mushy, he desperately needs to score more runs and stay till the end.
then again this is T20, so players may not always score big

Got no problem in post match analysis & critics based on them, this is fine practice to self-rectify yourself. But Sorry to dissapoint some of you, I had a very little gap between wishing & beleiving in this banglawash before hand. So no eating vomiting pi$$ing here.

arey newly saged bhai,
it's ok to criticize but this thread is not about the random well thought criticisms we make/made but the way we over react saying things like "Mash should retire"(after the 2nd match) or "Nasir is not a T20 player,he can't hit,he should be replaced"(I said it too )
We can always criticize Tamim or Ash's SR or BD pacers over all etc but in this thread I wanted to confess what I said of which I'm not proud of being a regular follower of Tiger cricket ,specially about proven match winners like Mash & Nasir.
Offcourse if in the next match Mash's eco goes high I will criticize but won't say stuffs like "he should retire & write columns"

I thought Mash was crap and should have been dropped for the 3rd T20.

Most things I said during the 2nd T20 turned out wrong. But I would still want Ash replaced. I think run a ball 50 in t20 is detrimental to the team. I'd rather take Junaid or Kayes who would give 15 ball 25; at least that way match winners like Shak don't lose their wicket tryoing to cover the deficit Ash leaves behind.
