Default Batting Under Siddons so far

there was a thread, disproving siddons batting "achievements" of scoring 200+ half the time. i decided to check it out for myself.

the interesting thing is that siddons' current stats are a fair improvement over whatmore's entire tenure:

batting record against G8 teams under whatmore's 4 years:

http://stats.cricinfo.com/statsguru/...ults;type=team

batting record under siddons so far:

http://stats.cricinfo.com/statsguru/...ults;type=team

batting record under whatmore (last 2 years):

http://stats.cricinfo.com/statsguru/...ults;type=team

our best period was whatmore's last 2 years, also our winningest period. but siddons is not far behind in batting average, and in run rate is actually far better.

whatmore total: avg 19.80, RR = 3.97

whatmore last 2 years: avg 21.66, RR = 4.17

siddons so far: avg 20.92, RR = 4.23

lets see if siddons can surpass whatmore (whose teams bowled better).

yup, and I am personally hoping that some of the previous rookies come back much better and stronger than they were, such as Nazmul, Sajid, Farhad Reza, Enamul, and so on... That is our only hope, with the current bowling batch dying out. Mash is totally dead. Nothing like the old Mash. Razzak's peak seems too much for himself at the moment. Sakib is only a containment bowler. The rest are really not worth mentioning.

great achievement. let us continue the process of improvement.

An analysis on losing margin would also be interesting.

Which means the other teams improved better or got some freaks/Roids? Or the whole cricket just passed by us?

TE_Bhai,

S.Rajesh is the solution to all problems. We will always take consolations from skewed stats, even though we are losing horribly. On earth, who considers the T20 effect on batting? Who will consider that Saeed Anowar or Yunus or Inzi bowling when the match is lost by 100+ runs? The 'root' problem was there also during the flying World Cup. Who cares? Nobody, because we were 7th! Stats again!

By the way, when is our next series against SL? This Mendis guy is looking terrific. So far, Murali and Vaas have done enough for us. And now this Mendis. I am really worried for JS. A three figure in ODIs is a distant possibility. Crossing 3rd day in test is even more unlikely. But JS might say, we have done better than the STRONG India.

That thread has more than enough answer to your stats. You again went back to WM entire period. Where as you should compare JS with WM last two yrs only. Because that was the standard when he took over.

Unless you want to see a team of "ADUBHAI"s
