This was an excellent innings no doubt. However, not the best for me. It still has miles to go equal Mo. Rafique's 111(152). He himself scored 59 runs with the 10 and 11 batsmen and posted a 413 total with partnership of 33 and 46 in the first innings.

Also same test Khaled Mashud's 2nd innings 103*(281) notout was even better. With a 64 run 1st innings lead BD started to bat with 5 sessions left for the match and a collapse followed. reeling at 79/6 in came Khaled Mashud.

When Rajin was out at 123/7 in 42 overs, BD was looking at a loss with With Mashud on 18*(69). With patience and gritt he took the team to the safty with the #9 and #10 batsmen 271/9 in 105.2 overs. At overseas, 60+ overs playing with the tail, getting a 100, remianing notout, giving first ever BD captain the preasure to declare, making sure we have our first earned draw is PRICELESS.

Agreed. Aminul Islam's 145 was also a treat for the eyes - the man just batted on and on and on and on. These days we have batsmen who are much more talented and have access to better facilities/resources, yet they are incapable of even dreaming about batting for so long.

because they have not become professional, they know they can have their positions in team even though they perform bad.

I hope fortune favours Riyad in his second innings and he is there to score a big innings.
i am a bit disappointed with Sakib's approach to test cricket, Riyad seem to have the patience and grit to graft an innings.

Our management hasn't made his job any easier if you read one of the latest article on him in cricinfo you'll know how feels about our board.
He is playing the same batting order over and over again. The guy is too scared to experiment. It is clear our 6,7,8 is a better test batsmen than 3,4,5. Whereas he kept Raqibul on in ODIs and we got 30 runs short everytime which could very well have been the difference of win and lose.

I dont know how can we congratulate him for the efforts of Riyad ,Mushi, Sakib?? If we can, can we also blame him for the repeated failures of Ashraful , Raqibul, Zunaid etc?
