Where did we find that Hathuri is adamant in picking 8 batsmen in test? I don't remember any reference.

Hathuri is mature enough to understand the difference between ODI and test matches.

The thing I failed to understand is how it became home condition advantage to prepare green-top?

I would have liked a flat/placid pitch and then bat first after winning the toss!

I read an interview of Hathuri during the WC where he said he believed in having 7 batsmen. So don't think it was his decision to have 8 batsmen.

Any sensible coach understands that you need at least 4 regular bowlers to take 20 wickets in a test match in our home condition. Hathuri already showed that he understands this game. Specially after the toothless bowling of Shakib in the last match, there is no way Hathuri would want only 3 specialist bowler in the team.

I don't like to speculate things but seems like Mushy and Chacha had a big say in this XI. There is no way Haturi can come up with this team.

And a selfish one. If he was indeed a team player, he should have selected Litton and let him do the wicket keeping. Also he talks too much in the media sometimes it sound like he try to play blame-game instead of taking blame as a leader and protect young players.

Don't expect Litton in TEST team as long as Rahim is the captain.

he also likes Jubair a lot. he was so desperate to get jubair in the WC. Hom played the first test and did nothing of note. Still got selected again while Jubair is sitting on the bench. I would understand if Pakistan has many left handers and they need an offie but all of Pak's main batsmen (Hafeez, Azhar, Misbah, Younis, Sarfraz) are right handres. A leg spinner would have been crucial.

what did AlAmin do to get banned from everything? he was punished for staying out one night in WC and then gets no call up for the entire Pak series. He was our main test bowler for the last few matches and he did a very decent job. While SRK does nothing and still gets selected.

this team selection is so bizarre. I don't know what's going on behind closed doors.

Well this sort of thing used to happen in the Jurgensen era. Don't think Hathuri will let it continue like this. If he can straighten up Shakib, he can do the same for Rahim as well. If the BCB don't support, he will have no problem looking for another job.

Good question. All indication is: there is more than that. "Chele ta beadob" was one floating in the air. Not sure what exactly (beyadobi) he has done and against whom? it may be with some "BCB executives or coaches" and some senior players.
