Sehwag did not, but you should also consider the fact that there are whole teams in this Asia Cup who failed to reach double century.

What's ur problem brother? Are u an Indian? Then it's ok otherwise u seemed to me more concern about India than BD. Why do we have to consider whole team? This is Sehwag who wanted to score double hundred against UAE.

That whole team didn't go around in public and showed attitude and pride, saying "I will make ODI 200 with UAE". Pointing UAE is too lame to play cricket.

Result? Got kicked in the behind brought down to earth.

What is your source which suggests that Sehwag wanted to score 200 against UAE? Here is the source which mentions otherwise:
After triple in tests, Sehwag wants double in ODIs

Default Sehwag comment..

Did Sehwag actually say that ? If he did then it was a damn silly comment. Just desserts.

ok this is what Sehwag said about his Double hundred although he did not actually mention about UAE.

"India batsman Virender Sehwag has set his sights on scoring the first one-day international double-century during the forthcoming Asia Cup. "

I personally beleive that Sehwag has the ability to score a double ton in ODI but announcing this in public just proved his arrogance.

There are some people in BD whose one leg is in BD & other leg is in India just like certain Paki lovers.

Australian and English view on ODI double century:

Alistair Brown - the only player to have passed 200 twice in top-class limited-overs matches - believes it is only a matter of time before the grail is gained.

What's worg, if he said so. Best of the attack in the world is afraid to face him.

He definately has guts to do that buddy.

He gave one statement and that became such a big news, This itself is a big thing.

Just watch it live, when he play. You will be convinced my dear friend.

Guyz what you are forgetting is that Sewhag did score 200 runs.......a) in his dreams the night before the match

b) probably on a computer game playing as himself

c) he probably meant 200 runs in total in the tournament...

So guyz stop laughing at him...he simply did not make it clear exactly what 200 runs he was talking about and in what dimension as well......lol...lol

sehwag never mentioned UAE. indians r not like sri lankans who would score records against minnows (35, 36 all out and 398/5)

i do agree with vv_sunil. stop getting too much after india. lots of indians support bd. if bd plays a neutral match in india, the whole stadium would support bd.

Its not personal. Most of BC members come to dislike indian cricket due to indian writers' consistent BD bashing in all form of press and Gaguli's recent proposal for tier of "Elite 8".

India has significant audience support when they play in BD.

Default Lets be realistic now.....

I am not for the elite 8 system but being realistic here I would definately suggest that Bangladesh cricket will definately improve if they play a lot more cricket against the current new comers. This will provide them with a lot more confidence and will also give them valuable match practice to sort out their various batting and bowling issues. I would even recommend inviting and playing the A teams of the the test playing nations.

The other thing that I think will definately help BD cricket is to improve the current state of the pitches. Getting a pitch consultant from abroad and getting them too prepare faster and bouncier tracks for international as well as domestic matches will definately improve their performance abroad.

And finally give the boys all the support they can possibly get because too much criticism will make them even prone to making mistakes at the highest level of cricket.
