Good point

feel the same way. I was joking about 'loving' his reverse sweep.

opening an innings is a huge responsibility facing the new ball and the best biwlers of the opposition team.
I think its a worse job than Ryad who finds Nasir or Mushy to partner with or even the Raju is better than the walking wckts of our top order.

Tamim can keep up this attitude all he wants. It might keep him in our team for a long time because we don't have anyone better to replace him with, but that's as far as he'll go. All that talk about him wanting to be remembered by the world as a good batsman, him wanting to score more hundreds and not 50s, and wanting to become the highest run scorer in such and such tournament, ya like these things will ever happen with that kind of a mindset.

to some extent yes.
otherwise why do we.discuss so much about who shld open with Tamim.
we gave credit to Ryad for Raju s hundred shows how important it is to have a good partner around.
its very hard to concentrate when wickets keep falling the other end.
and in every series he is batting with a new.partner either JS or SN or Nazza or Kaedge.
I am not saying these are the reasons of his failure but it certainly doesnt help.

Having a partner like SN doesn't really help. SN doesn't have the basics of building partnership. He is the senior most player in the side and plays like a tailender newbie. Tamim had his best days with Imrul who has a stable mindset. This shows the importance of having a good partner.

yes bhai.
specially SN is the worst as he always looks like he takes his place for granted and escapes from responsibilities.
Althgh Imrul has his limitations but he looks hungry for runs and doesnt throw it away.
Junaid and Nazza got serious technique problems.

I want Tamim to be the top scorer in the series.

I won't mind if top 3 scorers in the series is from Bangladesh.

Way to waste yet another start. This would've been devastating if we were chasing a big total. Those are the kinda wickets that triggers the collapse. I'd rather have him get out duck early in the inning than score these Imrul-marka innings. Neither here nor there.

He played a huge role in our win and I'm happy for him. But I hope he is mad at himself. He managed to score 4 50's in the last 4 ODI's he played, but could not even go past 80 once let alone hundred. That's just unacceptable for a top order batsman for any country. After doing all the hard work. When is he going to stat converting these starts to bigger innings? At this point in his career 50's alone shouldn't satisfy him.

Tamim is getting the starts but failing to convert them to big ones. It sometimes happens to batsmen. I don't see much to worry about.
