Arrow MATCH THREAD=> Nihadas Trophy|Match #1- INDvSL|Mar 6th, 2018|19:00 Local time, 1330 GMT|Premadasa, Colombo

Welcome,

MATCH #1

From Cricinfo preview:
In the spotlight
After making back-to-back fifties in Bangladesh, Kusal Mendis repeated the feat at home in the domestic T20 tournament for Colombo Cricket Club. Can he continue his excellent form in the Nidahas Trophy?

Sri Lanka might have nightmares of Rohit Sharma, who slammed 118 off 43 balls in the last bilateral T20 series between the two sides in December. In all, Rohit has hit 278 runs in 11 innings against Sri Lanka at a strike-rate of 146.31.

Prediction:

Rohit Sharma will crack another century- if India bats first
Yuzi-Kuldeep will continue to wreck havoc
Karthik will play in front of Pant; because he's the more experienced keeper, and you need an experienced keeper to pick those two spinners.
India will scrape victory.

you can already tell from how each skipper is holding the trophy, which team is going to do what.

You gotta love Chandimal's smile tho.

Rohit looks like the sly fox with that smile; while Mamadulla....

Some facts and stats:

All 3 of India's centurions in T20Is are in this squad (Raina, Rahul, and Rohit)
The last time a Sri Lankan batsman have scored a century was in 2011, when Dilshan made 104* against Australia...It was the 5th international T20 century...
The last time an Indian batsman made a century in this format was last December where Rohit equaled David Miller's record of least balls to make a century...That was the 29th International T20 century...since then, we have had 3 more centuries in this format...and they were all made in Australasia- Colin Munro, Glen Mawell, and Martin Guptill....

32 centuries later....

Hatursinghe ain't afraid of the Indians.

He got back Lakmal, who was injured; and Kusal Janith. He said that he combination might be the same as the one that beat BD in the recent series. Kusal Mendis might continue to open the batting.

Raina had a brain fart, exposing all 3 stumps on the 3rd delivery he was facing, got himself bowled.

IND are 9 for 2 after 2 overs. SL is having a dream start.

Well done Sri Lanka. Thisara Perrera has matured and gone better as he aged, as a player.
