Good side to be sending to England. Sticks Nafees and Ahmed in the shop window for sure.

Shahadat needs to spend as much time away from Bangladeshi pitches as possible - slow low pitches break a fast bowlers heart.

Nadif played under McInnes (who is a expert on this issue) for couple of years and currently playing for MCC Young Cricketers XI in the second division of county league in England. If there were anything wrong in his bowling action, he would be caught by now. I also heard that he throws bowl in domestic leagues, but I think he does it intentionaly. Anyway, he got eight wickets in a innings against Essex 2nd XI without getting caught cheating. So, I think he is good enough for the A team. But whether selectors can accomodate another SLA besides Razzak and Enamul in the same team is another question.

Bangladesh to tour Sri Lanka for 2 Tests and 3 ODIs, break for the ICC Super Series (3 ODIs, 1 six day test), then host Australia for 2 Tests and 3 ODIs next April. Also talk of tri-series involving Zimbabwe and Kenya, and also a tour to Zimbabwe outside the Future Tours Programme (FTP)he they feel that they need to exact revenge on Bangladesh for the January series defeat.

Bangladesh A is touring England later this month, playing counties from all over England, as well as British Universities.

Interestingly enough on the FTP, India were due to host Bangladesh in April of this year, so that may be fitted into the agenda somewhere.

Zimbabwe wants to host Bangladesh in October, right after India leaves the country. On the other hand, BCB wants to arrange a tri-series with Zim and Kenya in November in Bangladesh and arrange two Tests with Zim after that. Negotiation is going on.

Why is BCB still bothering with them? I don't see what diffrence Streak makes in that team. By october we will be much better than what we were in Jan of this year. And with there hectic scheduleZim schedule they will be tired and we should be able to blow them away.

Initially BCB was talking about hosting the tri-series in January, now they moved it down to November. I think they are expecting the tour of India during Dec-Jan (thats the only free time India has this winter).

From DS Report-

Quote:
Nafees, who won the man-of-the-match award for his 75 against Australia at Canterbury on Thursday, and Aftab will be returning to England with the Bangladesh A team later this month along with Nafees Iqbal and Nazmul Hossain.
Nazmul coming back?? What happened to Tushar? Or the reporter just confused those two?

I think Ashraful should have been in this squad.

Initially he was, but his sudden glorious 3 innings of 100, 94 and 58 had made the selectors' to change their minds and not to make Ashraful a part of the 'A' squad.

He may have become a hero from a zero in nick of time, but he is still not playing properly as he should in the last few ODIs.
