Oh, ok. A moat by definition has to surround the whole compound, and are usually much wider than a typical train. The most famous moat in the world is the one around Ankor Watt.
They are not for sewage purposes, but rather to serve as a barrier for incoming water during floods.

That's why when I saw you describing it in the OP, I was a bit taken back. It was news to me.
The most famous moat I know is Moat Cailin, in Westeros

There's a street by the ground called Shiv Chanderpaul Drive.
A couple of footsteps away is the Botanical Gardens and the Zoo.
I think the Dutch designed all the drainage systems and arteries in the city

THey named a street after Chanderpaul? Thats pretty cool. I would love to see Guyana name a stadium after him at some point

Yeah, more than 10 years ago. I think when he was captain of the West Indies team in 04-05 they did this.
Don't see them changing the name of our national stadium any time soon

Fact: Bangladesh beat Australia 1st time in an Odi
Bangladesh unbeaten in international ODIs at this venue . They last beat NZ in the Champions trophy.
Ashraful first Bangladeshi to score 100 against Australia at this stadium.

The drainage system at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium is a marvel.
