All we need is a trainer to replace SK. Corey Richards is good enough for both batting and fielding.

But how can only two coaches address all the batting, fielding, bowling, fitness needs of 15 players?

what they should do is bring back fountain for the fielding, pont for the fast bowling, and find a good batting coach (not siddons since he divided the team).

Implenting the mentioned roles will take minimum of 3 years..ATM i think a bowling coach is most important..then batting..richardson can stay fielding and then trainer after important roles are set.

You know not too long ago one head coach used to manage all that! Read Corey Richards recent interview in cricinfo. Before joining Bangladesh, he was a batting coach.

But trainer yes we could do with one. Why is SK not traveling with the team?

Not so long ago, there were one coach and one assistant at best. And just fyi, a fielding coach doesnt mean that he is oblivious to the batting side of the game. Coaches of this level have had experience, and it's just a matter of running specific drills. I don't think it will be too hard to run several drills by one person.

Good luck to Corey.

From profile and experience Corey looks a good coach. Even he seems to be an head coach material for his experience. I hope Corey_Jargenson pair will work for us.From todays PA it seems Jargenson is his ex collegue.

Former Pakistan team trainer David Dwyer will join the staff.

Former Bermuda coach David Moore will take over the U/19 team.

Little bit on David Dwyer-

Quote:
Dwyer, who is from Sydney, has been a popular member of Pakistan's support staff and has become very close to most of the players in the side. "I have simply decided to move back to Sydney after two and half great years with the team purely for personal reasons," Dwyer told Cricinfo.

"It was a very difficult decision to make because I can see that we have made very good physical improvements in all of the players over the course of my time with the team," Dwyer said. "Most importantly the friendships that I made with the coaches, players and all of those involved with the team."

Dwyer's contribution is widely hailed within Pakistan's set-up; a number of players have spoken of the benefits he brought to them and former captain Younis Khan, in particular, has benefitted in terms of his fitness and diet.

Dwyer came to the Pakistan set-up with former coach Geoff Lawson in 2007 on a two-year contract and stayed on for over a year after Lawson was removed late in 2008. It was believed at the time that Younis and other members of the side were key in having him stay on. Dwyer's background is in rugby - he played club rugby and his uncle Bob has coached the Australian rugby team.

I agree with fear that Sujon or Bulbul could have ego clashes with SJ. But what about Salahuddin? He was excellent help for foreign coaches he worked with.

Salauddin sucked as a fielding coach. He was good with the spinners. But now we have saqlain as spin bowling coach so we dont need him.

I think Bulbul would do fine. He is not the same as Shujon.

Saqi will work with the team only seasonally, we need someone to monitor bowlers more continously. Plus Salahuddin had a very diverse role in the team (including helping batsmen in the nets). I don't think he taught players anything out of ordinary, but he helped them to do simple things right.

With Corey Richards having a dual role, Salahuddin would have complemented him well.

We should find a role for both Salahuddin and Aminul Islam. If not with national team, then at least at academy. Salahuddin is probably one of the most influential local coaches around. Ask any national team star be it Shakib, Mushfiq, Razzak they ll say the role this man has played in their development.
