Default Any news about the BD vs. Holland game

If anyone out there has heard about the outcome of the game then please share. I am absolutely appalled with Cricinfo. Not only are they not covering the Holland game but also they are not planning to cover the England game.

Boy, I really hope Bangladesh kicks some bu** in this tournament so people can take us more seriously and provide the TV and media coverage that any new test nation deserves.
In reality, Bangladesh will probably win the Holland game, that is if the top order batsman don't try to emulate Tendulkar. Judging from England's recent performance against India, England has improved both in batting and bowling since they last played Bangladesh. If only the BD batting plays sensibly does BD stand a chance to put up a respectable fight with England, even if it is in vain. With no match practice at home, I seriously doubt that whether the BD batsman will perform at all. As for the Australia and New Zealand game, I just pray that the games are washed out. Going with a win (hopefully from the Holland game) and a fighting loss (hopefully from the England game) will instill some confidence into team.

I see cricinfo has given a report and scorecard for the other friendly match between New Zealand v Zim.

Our bowling is very weak at the moment, with very inexperienced bowlers. We could of done Masri, Shariff and Tariq Aziz.

Default Halland\'s recent match

From the British Domestic league - C&G Trophy

http://www-uk.cricket.org/link_to_da...12SEP2002.html

Brief: (played on Sept 12)
Holland - 96/10, 34.4 overs
Bedfordshire - 97/0, 15.3 overs
Bedfordshire won by 10 wickets

In April, they played the ICC 6 nation tournament where they:
lost to Zimbabwe A by 57 runs (Zim A 204/9 vs HLD 147/all out)
lost to Namibia by 62 runs in a D/L method (Nam 235/6 vs HLD 150/all out)
lost to Kenya by 33 runs (KEN 291/7 vs HLD 258/9) - Notice how freely Kenya scores their runs.
BEAT Canada by 16 runs (HLD 211/all out vs CAN 195/9)

Let's not forget that the last time we played them, we were fortunate to have the D/L method work for us. They did/do have a more dedicated bowling line up then ours and their batting never failed against us.

The game against Bedfordshire in the C&G Trophy will obviously be their second string or youngter team, as their main team is in SL at the moment.

Holland is nothing to worry about, we have a certain Australian team next week to play where we need to battle
