Default Members contribution to make Banglacricket more informative as a site

I am opening this thread to make Banglacricket more informative as a site through updating sections.

Members will post their contributions to make the site rich.

The contributions can be -

1, Pictures of Bangladesh Cricket moements which are not already present in the pictures section.
2. Video/Audio clips of Bangladesh cricket which are not already prersent in the multimedia section.
3. Profile of players (and their pictures) which are not already present in players section.
4. Stats of both domestic and international cricket which are not yet present in the stats section.
5. Any other information which will be worthy to add.

Hopefully, moderators/administrators and the staff members will take the information from this thread to add into the appropriate section.

If moderators/administrators wish, they can make this thread sticky.

Feel free to delete this thread if moderators/administrators think that I am not authorised to ask for such contributions from members

Personally, I want to take the responsibility to add the profiles of some exciting young talents which are missing in the current players list.

Junaed, Imtiaz, Naeem are few of them

Miraz bhai, are you sure you don't want the candidacy for being a staff member?

Imagine all the power at your fingertips! Bwahahahaha

HB, enjoy the power. I want to stay where I am now.

I am a bit afraid of power.

You know power invites hullabaloo

Yes, we seem to have too many staff and mods anyway. It's like 1 policeman per citizen lol

I am proposing a new menu, 'archive' which will have tow sub section domestic and international.

Match highlights of every domestic match (DPL, NCL, Twenty20) and International match (involving Bangladesh, Bangladesh A and Academy team) will kep there for records.

Actually, these templates exist and are all under "Tour". We had temporarily commented out some of them from the menu because they were all partially filled templates. This was one of the reasons why we were inducting all the new members to help fill in the blanks. Do remember staff designation is a recognition that these volunteers are putting in the extra effort to build out the site. Now anyone can help out. If they do not want to be staff it is their prerogative but that does not mean one cannot help being a mere member.

Ok...

These are the sections I have temporarily commented out:

A-Team coverage: http://www.banglacricket.com/tours/ateam.php
Age Group coverage: http://www.banglacricket.com/tours/age.php
BCB: http://www.banglacricket.com/tours/bcb.php
Misc: http://www.banglacricket.com/tours/misc.php

The history section also has coverage on historical tours that does not quite belong in the above categories, such as MCC or Hyderabad Blues tours of the early days.

We already have the place. All we need are dedicated fans to put flesh them out.

Sorry to burst your bubble but staff are not coppers.

More seriously, they are the special class volunteers who have answered the call to help out with the content of BC. If they wish, the "staff" designation is an acknowledgment. One can be a street cricketer and still be of immense help to the site.

Speaking about mods - unless they have multiple roles, they may not have anything to with administration and management of other portions of this site. Mods are chosen to the forums and the forums only in a smooth and friendly manner. It so happens many mods here also have other responsibilities on BC and as such it may seem confusing as to who does what. Mods are cops, they are not the IT folks or the Journalists or ... Of course, sometimes the same person wears multiple hats.

It may seem there are a preponderance of mods but remember they all have their day jobs and other lives. At times X, Y or Harry may not be around for a while. The numbers just help ensure that forums operate in a pleasant fashion and things do not get out of hand.

Admins have de facto moderating privileges by virtue of designation but they are not normally in the business of moderation unless something extremely egregious catches their eye.

Zunaid bhai, please let me know and clarify how this mere member can help to put some flesh.

Yes Dr, I was speaking figuratively. Besides I prefer not to be the BD cop, so my bubble stays intact.

Speaking of staff, I think BanglaCricket Volunteer is a more appropriate title, since that's all we are doing. It should help regular contributors like Miraz bhai feel less threatened to lose his freedom as a normal member.

Yeah. I don't quite see you as a baton yielding crowd charger.

Not a bad idea. We may really threaten Miraz and make him a moderator.

Is it because you're shada?

Funny I always thought you were a darker, bearded, tupi-wala guy.

Thanks goes to Zunaid bhai for clarifying the Hatebreed's and Mirz bhai's comments. Really the BC staff are not like cops, they are a part of the development staff.

If you guys are interested, you could provide us with the link to Google Maps to the stadiums' SATELLITE view. The stadiums that we need covered are here:
http://www.banglacricket.com/tours/venues/index.php

It will be appreciated if you contribute in this thread (about Bangladesh stadiums) that Zunaid bhai created this week.

Here's the type of view we're looking for...this one's for Mirpur Stadium:

It's basically everything in BC except for moderation, administration, and a few other things. We, the staff, are not the people in authority. We're simply a bunch of people working to contribute in different sections of the site.
