Excited about Bevan. I wanted to have him as our National Batting coach..I hope Tamim gets to learn few things from him in this very short period of time.

I am just curious, is Shaid Qader Chowdury, son of Gias Kader or Salahuddin Kader? or neither? He mentioned that he also owned the Chittagong Tigers during the PCL days.

But seriously though, it seems Chittagong Team is lacking the enthusisasm than the other teams. I wonder why...

Heard Viv Richards will be brand ambassador for CTG Kings.

Though the contemporary skipper has backed out, West Indies legends Viv Richards and Gordon Greenidge have been linked with BPL.

It was learned from franchise sources that the Master Blaster is all set to become the brand ambassador of the Chittagong Kings while Greenidge could join the Khulna Royal Bengals as the head coach.

Its all about publicity. Thats why you see all teams were literally fighting to get Afridi and Gayle. They just want the name.

I would love to see Gordon and Viv in BPL. Presence of Viv will have supplementary allure for sure

Went to school with Samir Q Chowdhury, grade 3. Now he has enough money to buy and run BPL franchises whereas I do brain work for someone else and make only a comfortable living. SMBL.

At Prothom Alo or somewhere they were calling Chittagong team a team of 'Juddahporadis'... funny and irrelevant as it sounds, I couldnt fathom how the current government will even allow SQ Chowdhury's son to form a team. I have no doubt about his wealth as they have been rich for generations...its a matter of how they can justify the ROI for such enormous investment. Probably they can sell team jerseys or stickers to make up for the costs....

You don't get pal. They do not need to make money, they have enough. All they need is gain publicity among new generations.

After all, Foka and Saka are simply hated by their countrymen. So, their generation next needs make some positive impact in the society to erase that notorious legacy.

Samir isn't SQ's son though. He's a nephew.

I am shocked too. how could this happen at this very time when everyone has raised their voice against the war criminals! does any of our cricketer have the balls to quit the team as part of the protest or does anyone care?

Well as Asif mentions, he is not Salauddin Qader Chowdhury's son.. He probably is Gias Kader Chowdhury's son. And I dont think there are any war crime allegations against Gias Q.Chowdhury (yet).

By the way, not that I lived there for too many years but if you are from Chittagong you would know that Raujan area is pretty much owned by the Salahuddin Kader Chowdhury and you cannot go against him but personally havent heard anything notorious about Gias Qader or Samir Q Chowdhur for that matter. They have been away from the limelights and minded their own business,,,

I personally have never heard of any allegations against Gias or Jamal. Samir as far as I remember was a decent kid back in school, nothing out of the ordinary.
