Default ZIM tour of NZ 2012

first away test for the "new" ZIM...since their test return. NZ on a high after beating AUS who just pummelled IND.

NZ post 495-7 dec, and ZIM bowled out for just 51, and then 3-1 following on.

We really need to beat ZIM when we tour them again to make up for our shitty preperation before the last tour.

56-12 now ZIM effectively

we could see history in the sense of a team being bowled out twice in the fewest balls, the shortest test in terms of balls bowled, and some batsman perhaps getting dismissed twice in the same session.

rest easy, for now at least, its actually our match against India at Mirpur 2007 that is perhaps the most lopsided test match ever. not ZIM, not even current IND.

ZIM have competed fairly well at home...they just need to cook a little while longer. But Taylor is class, and a few other players have a lot of upside.

This shows that Zimbabwe needs a while before they can be on the level of the test level teams other then us. They were good at home but it's going to be a while before they can start competing in other countries.

There are countries that have been playing test cricket for 80 years and still aren't competitive away from home, except for a small patch of 2-3 years.

Just ran some numbers, this loss by ZIM just beats our loss here by a sliver 37.2 to 36.04, or 3% as the most lopsided match in recent Test history.

Most lopsided basically being a ratio of runs scored between the two sides in a given match.

our problem is we have to many left handers in our side, and thats why vitamintory was so extra ordinary against us

True. Hint hint India hint hint. Yes it does show how we shouldve beaten this team. No matter what, we were the better team. Complacency and lack of respect for the opposition is to be blamed for the defeat. Hopefully next series against Zimbabwe we'll do better.

Zimbabwe also suffered the ignominy of being
bowled out twice in a day. Zimbabwe and India are the
only teams to suffer the fate previously. However, they
managed to go past their lowest aggregate in a match
(158) which came against New Zealand in 2005.
Zimbabwe, who faced only 28.5 overs, beat their
previous record for the fewest overs faced in a
completed innings.

Like your definition of lop-sided match.

We make any bowler look like the next best thing, I've not seen any remarkable innings from the guy except the series against us.
