Bangladesh coach Jamie Siddons was happy with blazing batsman Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Ashraful but said his bowlers need to improve.

"It seems like every time we bowl these days we go for 300," Siddons said. "Our bowlers need to vary it up a bit and hit the right areas more often."

Siddons said tough competition was what the Tigers needed to prepare to tackle Australia at the end of the month - and they were getting it.

"They were very keen to beat us and we are very keen to beat them back," he said. "There is enormous potential in the AIS side and they are going to be competitive for sure. It's good hard cricket and that's what we need to build and improve."

Entry today is free.
This is what I was wanting to hear. Good day team!!

I have to admit those AIS players may be lot less experienced than our players are, but they still sound lot more smarter than ours do.

Their SLA Jon Holland has not yet played any FC or list-A match, but he has single handedly destroyed our middle order taking four wickets (Ashraful, Riad, Sakib, and Dhiman) in space of 15 runs (238-253) and has thrown us off the game. May be Abdur Razzak should go to him asking for some tips.

mash has lost a lot of his pace, that made him decent bowler, because he got the ball to move off the pitch at those speeds, because of his action.
Mamu is happy that Mami is back thinking Mami(s) will take care of him at home (his actual wife) and at ground (Sakib scoring fifty). Tai Tai Tai Mama bari jai, Mami elo biriyani niye Mamu burite hat bulai...

razzak seemed to have lost his way as spinner, and still doesnt get much turn off the pitch, funny how he was contesting daniel vetorri as best one day left arm spinner b4. Riyad is no vetorri.
Raz got his last ever call for IPL. He needs to bowl without wearing sunglass.

Kapali is no shane warne
Kapali will get hatrick against AIS.

And Nazmul havent seen him bowl recently
Youtube him you will see his Gentle slow medium pace like chaca...
missing Panna Ghosh...

Also, please keep in mind, that the transitional period that we are passing at the moment in terms of players and their young age, its important that the coach knows the fundamentals and properly channels that to the players.

But, JS must do something with bowling. If he can't, he should just let the BCB know about it, so we can make arrangements. The situation is dire.
fully agree...however JS won't tell the BCB...this is where BCB has to be proactive...if we can't hold AUS to under 275 in a full 50 over innings, BCB needs to make JS the de facto batting coach and get someone else to coach bowlers.

a rasel and a sakib also make a lot of that difference. IMO, we are giving up 50 runs more per innings than we should. a rasel and sakib will wipe out 20-30 of that deficit.

70 member BCB team still does not understand the requirement for a good bowling coach and proper nutrition to build muscles/bones of our bowlers. As Furqaan mentioned proactiveness, they will now search for that word in the dictionary and their text books of how to implement it. Good thing you pointed out that weakness..who will point out their super slow reactiveness too...do they have to look in the dictionary how to implement that too...Time for 'powerful' BC members write letters about bowling coach and camps.

And that will be hailed as an improvement since our highest score during the last Aus tour (five years ago) was 147.

my XI-

Mehrab hossain jr.
Dhiman Ghosh
Mohammad Ashraful
Rakibul Hasan
Sakibul Hasan
Alok Kapali
Farhad Reza
Nazmul
Mashrafee
Razzak
Dollar

my "wierd" XI- but i feel it is imperative to rest Tamim since he has a leg injury before it gets any worse, i don't think any fan here would want to lose our only "real" opener before the real show begins...

let's give Mehrab Hossain JR. one more try...

lol, wayy too many allrounders in squad lack of "genuine" pure batsmen and bowlers

If Tamim is not playing, it won't be smart to tie Mehrab with another iffy opening option (I mean Mehrab himself is iffy enough). For this match, we may have to send Ashraful to open and bring Rokib and Sakib forward by one position each.

My team for this match would be -

Ashraful
Mehrab
Rokibul
Sakib
Alok
Riyad
Farhad
Dhiman
Razzak
Mashrafe
Nazmul

Dunno. Maybe, he wanted the bowlers to have a go first.

Need to get into the Mentality of Starting to go after large totals and not make the intentions obvious of Conceding defeating.

Dollar Playing we know what that means

Billah Bhai how frequent will the updates be? Every Hour or so?
