Pakistan's second batting display of their one-day series against South Africa contained many similarities to their first, notably Yousuf Youhana starting well but not going on, and a run-fest in the slog overs. With that late burst Pakistan managed to climb to 267 for 7, just ten short of their winning total from the first match, which was also played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Looks like another tight match. However, this one I get a feeling the S Africans won,t give away easily. The Pakistan opening pair, especially Hafeez is not in shape, still relying on Malik and Youhana to get adecent total.

Default South Africa in TROUBLE

Pakistan 267/7 (50 ov)
South Africa 172/7 (39.0 ov)

South Africa require another 96 runs with 3 wickets and 11.0 overs remaining

Pakistan RR: 5.34
South Africa RR: 4.41
Required RR: 8.73

Amitting: Wow, the all conquering Pakistanis. Looks like their 5-0 win over Bangladesh wasn't a fluke.

Serious note: now no one can say that Pakistan's ODI ranking got higher because they beat BD 5-0. Also, when we took them to the last over and stretched them in the test matches, people were saying that that wasn't the 'real' Pak team. Looking at the team composition now, are they (I said it couple of times) going to still say that BD didn't play the 'real' Pakistan team ?

Let me put it this way, the nurve and guts they showed against Bangladesh in Multan test, really impressed me, not many team can win a test with 4 wickets in hand and 132 runs to chase.

The Bangladesh Tour streached their limits.
