“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

“If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it - then I can achieve it.”

“I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion'.”

“He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life”

Muhammad Ali (1942-2016)

Rest In Peace.

The great Mohammad Ali in Bangladesh, 1978. From TV 6 Moscow.

Sabina Yasmin and chorus singing, " Esheche Mohammed Ali - Ali Ali...Du haatey dao korotali..!"

You can't miss the scum Ershad in the background at the end...

Ali: "I love you Bangladesh!"

Few of his quotes:

"I done wrestled with an alligator, I done tussled with a whale; handcuffed lightning, thrown thunder in jail; only last week, I murdered a rock, injured a stone, hospitalised a brick; I'm so mean I make medicine sick." This he said when he visited children hospital.

"If you even dream of beating me you'd better wake up and apologize."

"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth." - Ali.

There are two videos of Ali at Youtube. Picture quality is not that good. Watch it if you have time.

One with Arsenio Hall and one from 1977 When he already retired: "Muhammad Ali: This is your Life"

Ali on Golf:
I’m the best. I just haven’t played yet.”

Understanding life and religion:
A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life.

Rivers, ponds, lakes and streams – they all have different names, but they all contain water. Just as religions do – they all contain truths.
Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.
Hating people because of their color is wrong. And it doesn’t matter which color does the hating. It’s just plain wrong.
Tears kept running down my cheek.

@ Ali's Funeral at his Mural in the "Muhammad Ali Center"

This is for real.

Thousands around Louisville came out to the Muhammad Ali Center over the weekend to pay their respects to the late boxer and humanitarian -- even insects.

At the museum Sunday, officials needed to call a beekeeper after a swarm of bees congregated in a tree directly across from a mural with the famous Muhammad Ali quote, "Float Like a Butterfly, Sting Like a Bee." Ali, who died late Friday in Arizona, used the quote to describe his boxing style.

Kelly Recker, of Fort Jennings, Ohio, said her and husband, Tony, arrived at the Muhammad Ali Center around 9:30 a.m. Sunday. She went to take a picture of the mural, which is across the walkway from the entrance to the museum and noticed the commotion going on behind it.

"My husband said, 'Oh my God, look at those bees!'" Recker said. "The limbs were just covered with them."

The tree was next to the

Have never seen any of his fights except a few clips here and there. Yet like many, never have been moved like this by the passing of a sportsman. Then again this is no ordinary man. This is one of the greatest Heroes of our times. He dedicated his life fighting for peace and justice the way it should be fought and made a difference to the lives of many. He showed the world what being a true Muslim is all about. Even in death he's made the name Muhammad and words like Islam and Janaazah cool again to the people of America. May Allah bless your soul.

A dua for the deceased:
“Assalaamu ‘alaykum ahl al-diyaar min al-mu’mineen wa’l-Muslimeen, in sha Allaah bikum laahiqoon, as’al Allaaha lana wa lakum al-‘aafiyah"
(Peace be upon you O people of the dwellings, believers and Muslims, In sha Allaah we will join you, I ask Allaah to keep us and you safe and sound).
