I have never really supported Indian and after Greg Chappel became coach and Ganguly's sacking I am anti-India. So 3 cheers WI. What does the BCCI think of itself not playing BD? I want India to lose the tests too.

Karma anyone ? I hope this continues until the world cup is over. I feel for the Indian fans. However, the Indian cricket board (and press) needs a lesson in humility.

Bottom line is that India lost to low lying West Indies because of Chappell who insisted to play without Kumble, Saurav and Laxman.

I am not completely agree with you. Kumble, Saurav and Laxman did not play a while but India got win against Pakistan and Srilanka. In my opinion:

1) India is not good outside of Subcontinent; they are pretty good in their homeland.

2) They had the over confidence in WI tour, after losing the first game also, they are 100% confidence about the series win by 4-1.

3) Chappel didn't do enough home work about WI's players like Bravo, Gayle, Sarwan. They just thought about Lara and Chandarpall.

4) The pitch is a little bit slower than expected.

Anyway, probably there are a lot of reasons, but frankly speaking I just only want to believe one: "WI really played superior to India in every section (Bat, Bowl, and Field) and Lara's Captaincy is huge better than Dravid."

india maybe good at home, but i always thought they were an over rated team, you cannot blame chappel for indias failure as relating to what CricfanBD said, the indian batsman just couldnt apply themselves to the slow pitches which is quite surprising as these so called super star batsman should be used to it, and well done west indies for giving them a good hammering, both teams deserve it!, my prediction was right 4-1!!!

Default India bogus

Chappel does not know how to coach
Dravid does not know how to lead team
Players dont know how to finish

India is worse than Zimbabwe even...

Dravid should learn some batting from Bravo.......lolz...

Chappel is the highest paid coach !!!!!!!!.. guys,I thought i m the most stupid person...but now i think they who kept Chappel as coach are more stupid than me............

Bangladesh is the best .......india is finished, srilanka is too, pakistan will be...only bangladesh and bangladesh...........

how can a coach go to bad from best after a series.its not exactly coaching.they shudnt have gone with 5 bowlers.shud have gone with 6 batsman.then the series wud have been closer.plus indian team was missing tendulkar.at this moment....i think they shud try ganguly for raina or kaif.

" aabhi to shuruwaat hein, aagey aagey dekho hota hein keya!!" India wont even get chance to go to second round in next WC.

My dear friend prasad, Tendulkar ka bahana aar kabtak cholega? u should create second tendulkar..By the way India has so many match winning players!! and u need extra batsman...!!!
If India played with 8 batsman the result would be the same....
East or West , Bangladesh is the best.

Second Prasad in here ...India is the golden duck (should find a bigger bird ...) for ICC

But anyways ..guys a series loss ( I agree 4-1 is a bad loss) shall not decide India's fate ..India is too strong a team (atleast the present one ..) to think of its demise ...Not going to the second round ...Nahhhhhh...not this time.

Watch this space after the tests ...preceptions change quickly

Congrats to WI and to our Baundule. Sorry to reply so late in this thread. Well, India is always over hyped. and even with some real great players, somehow, they never do well outside Subcontinent. So. This result really shouldnt shock anyone, who atleast, had followed Indian cricket history.

On the other hand, Is is the sign of WI recovery??. I still doubt it. But, nevertheless, It is not so good news for BD team. . They really need to play much better to defeat this WI. best of luck.

WI still got a decent team with batsman like Lara, Sarwan and Gayle... any one of them can beat BD single-handedly on any given day....

I agree, India needs ganguly in the team as captain and Kamini as the new coach. Other than that, I see no hope for India.

what effect does a coach have on a cricket team?? in soccer yes but in cricket almost nothing. yes the captain has a big influence but not the coach, what good are these highly paid "white" coaches for the team i.e. whatmore, woolmar, chappel?(dont call me a racist, i just cant see the logic)

that wasn't a joke. ganguly was a great captain. he was aggressive. dravid is a great batsman but he lacks the aggressiveness that ganguly had. if it wasn't for kiran more and greg chappel, ganguly might have been the captain of this team.
