Jurgensen and Siddons were just horrible in comparison.
But Siddons gave Tamim-Shakib-Mushy and that's the turning point of BD cricket. We can be grateful for that. No?

Most likely he would move on after 2019 WC. That is he already mentioned. And the destination would be SL.

So 2 years and we will have to get us a new head coach.

remember godfather movie.....After Fontane comes crying to his godfather, literally, Corleone tells his godson, “I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse.”

Papon need to play godfather here.

never say never...money talks....if there is a will there is a way...

Would adopting the aggresive North Korean strategy of publicly criticising players on a public stage be too harsh

One thing about Hattori Hanzo, he should stop picking players from nets. He was impressed with the batting and bowling of Tanveer Haider in nets; he was impressed with shuvagata's batting in nets, he was reluctant to play Mosaddek in test in New zealand because he was not impressed with him in nets. Impressive net sessions cannot be a criteria for picking up players,to observe what one does in real match situations are more important to evaluate the players. As a part of selection panel, the coach should watch more domestic matches and observe the players.

In my book,
Chandika Hathurusingha is so far the best head coach for Bangladesh.
Jamie Siddons is the second best.

Ian Pont would have been the best, if given a chance.

100% agree with this.

Not a fan of our current selection method. Any young player needs to play a fair amount of first class cricket, A team cricket, grooming at academy before selection.

We ve pretty much abandoned the A Team and academy/HP part resulting in undercooked players. Tanbir Haider would have never made it past these two filters.

Yep great planner too. Just like his plan to send Miraz home and then fly him back to surprise the Sri Lankans. Genius.

Haturi maybe the best HC we ever had, but Streak is the best bowling coach we ever had. He did fabulous job with our pace bowlers. The presence of his absence is pretty evident

Indeed, This is actually valid criticism and an excellent point! Nobody is perfect, but Coach does deserve a lot of credit for playing his part in taking Bangladesh from 2014 rut to where Bangladesh cricket is today. His persistence and backing of Soumya also so far paying dividends...
