England getting hammered. This time by 8 wickets. India doing all the right things. Lower order resistance, on the England batsmen like blood suckling ticks, and chasing down the target like a village Don and his goons chasing down the hero in a bollywood flick.

Parthiv making a case to stay in the test squad as the permanent keeper...man, competition between keepers...that is a good thing. Kohli still undefeated in Tests this year.

Jaddu man of the match.

Kohli praise caps Hameed's 'awesome' rise

Quote:
"He's showed great character for a 19-year-old," Kohli said. "He put his hand up when his team wanted him to do it and the way he played with Anderson showed great maturity. You can sense it as a captain: this guy is intelligent, this guy knows the game.

"He's a great prospect for England. He's definitely going to be a future star in all forms if he keeps persisting with his skill. I'm really impressed and that's why I patted him on the back. It was an innings full of character and something that you need to applaud."

Eng no match for India in India, infact no Test nation is a match for Ind in India, look at how SA & NZ suffered there.
Eng should get Jos Buttler some how in the team, that guy is an attacking player like Stokes,Root who have scored runs so far.

Jadwin and Kohli are doing great service for their country & thumbs up to Hameed, will have to watch the HL

^^lol ok, did not know

btw, good question on cricinfo.
Who is India's MVP ? VK or Ash ?
I will say Ash for Tests and VK for ODI & T20
Ash has been Ind 2nd best batsman I think.

I feel like these teams played lot better in India when the team was stacked with HoF and legends. Besides Kohli who else is of that World Class caliber in that batting line up? It's very short too. Ashwin is having to cover a lot. I expected England bowlers to do a lot better than they've done so far.

VK is the MVP in my mind...it doesn't matter all the wickets Ashwin is getting in test, the pitches have been suited for his bowling..and VK setting attacking fields.

VK is a more matured guy than Ashwin...

And stats does show that Ashwin is not far behind in the batting

^ Umm, why? This schedule was released like 3 years ago.

And why is that little whiny Bhrat Kohli complaining like England planned this since they're down and out?? If England won this series 5-0, they still would've gone for this long Xmas break.

It's like this little **** just woke up yesterday and look at the schedule for the first time today.

Yes, I read it on the cricket website...needs to stay away from social media and press conferences, this is not something humbling. His board agreed to it. End of story. Period.

I don't think the schedule was released 3 years ago, though I don't see why Kohli is whining. He should ask for similar breaks in England tour, rightfully.

Kohli reviewed a clear not-out at 79.6 just because they get the reviews "back" right away.

Hardly getting it "back" if they were unused! If a team doesn't use any reviews after 80 overs their unursed reviews should add up. So India should have 4 reviews right now. ICC = dumb!

At least they don't count the umpire's call anymore.

English doing a classic Bangla here. Taking "positive" cricket for 6's and lofted shots, and T20 cricket. Hate being on top, so they gave it away.

How early did it come out tho, if not three years? Schedules come out at least 20+ months ahead, no? Either way, he had ample of time to bring it up earlier (even so, what would be the point?). Weird timing. It's almost like he wasn't aware earlier. Or he's mad that he didn't get to go to Dubai lol.

Speaking of...whining. There's gotta be a regulation on stump mic volume! Kohli moans and groans after every ball, even for leaves that are wide. A broadcasting rule should've been put in place as soon as Mushroom Rahim debuted! Wasn't there one after monkeygate or something? It's too loud.

Jayants run-up puts me to sleep. Hurry up betta. Chacha marka action.

I feel like all the legendary bowlers had unique and sick action/run-up that only became iconic with time. It's literally all in the run-up. Basic person = basic action = basic player. Name one good player with basic af action/run-up. Don't really like Ashwin's but at least it's not plain, it's unique.

Kids, make your action dope, your bowling/batting will be dope.

Jennings, son of Ray Jennings makes history with a debut century.

Ashwin on course to take all 5 remaining wickets.

Stokes and Buttler Bairstow are more than exceptional batsmen...two guys who would automatically fit into the Wildling army(once headed by former Crow, Mance Rayder).

Jennings may have completed the double of getting dropped on 0 and went on to make a century on debut.

I have not stumbled upon documented sources of this ever occurring in the history of the game prior to this...

Someone please enlighten me with your own story.

I've seen it all now....drs in India's favor when the original decision was not out.

Stokes was the batsman. He played a defensive forward stroke to an Ashwin off-spinner, what looks like on the replays was that the spike on the ultra edge popped up simultaneously when the bat hit the ground as the ball passed the bat.

Benefit of the doubt goes to the batsman. There wasn't any conclusive evidence to have overturned the decision....but this, this just baffled me and every one in the commentary box and even more watching.

Absolutely horrendous decision by 3rd umpire Shamshuddin

*note..Shamshuddin filling the 3rd umpire's role because of the injury to Paul Reiffel..original 3rd umpire Marais Erasmus is on field...

Stokes was furious as hell.

Inclusive evidence usually means no overrturn of original decision.

But, it's cricket and let's see how that changes the complexion of the game.

Another five-fer for Ashwin
