Bashar the Smiling PARASITE
I hope this is the last time Bashar gets to represent Bangladesh in any capacity in cricket.
This is why I dislike him of being in the team:
1) He has made the slightest contribution to the team.
2) He is depriving genuine and better players of a spot on the team and the money.
3) Bashar is also a lousy fielder
The only good thing I like about Bashar is his comments after a match, the guy knows how to answer the questions during the award ceremony. If there is anything else good about the chap please let us know
I hate to say this but I think Shahriar Al Mofees would make a better captain.
I say its about time Bashar retired and maybe he did something useful like join a band of his age group like Souls or Renaissance.

Bashar's weakest point is his captaincy. He can not think! Moreover, he lacks confidence. He was given an unduely extended run as captain of the national team and that destroyed his confidence even as a player.
He should be in the icl team (i like the guy as a player); but not in the playing XI until someone else like SN takes over as captain. As a captain he loses matches for us. If pakistan can rest Inzi or Yusuf, we can certainly rest him.

bashar just a waste of slot in ICL like he did in national team.. we are playing with 1 less player in the team cause of him!
I like bashar as a person but he lost his cricketing ability he should just retire and become a u19 COACH or sumthing or a commentator ..i feel for him but truth hurts ..sorry

I think everyone knows and Bashar himself would acknowledge that he is not a good T20 player. However, his captaincy and the ability to create a brotherly bond within the team justifies him being there. Nobody expected DW or ICL-BD to accomplish anywhere close to what they have done so far. Just like in teh LB and Pak team, Inzy has had maybe one or two significant games in the past two seasons but he is needed to glue the team together.

Actually I differ with most of the people on Bashar. I trust in his cricketing ability. At least in one match, he played a superb innings. He is NOT finished yet. The main problem is his mental weakness. He does not feel confident. He does not know his weakness and strength. As a captain he is simply pathetic. He still lives on the motto of honorable defeat. He can not think or adapt to the situation. SN as captain and Bashar as a go free batsman would be the best option. But immature Bashar will not be able to digest that.

Do you know the contribution of Batsman Bashar in BD Cricket?
ya, he is in his last days as a cricketer, but give him his due respect. He is our highest scorer and served our team as a backbone of batting line up for several years.
Every cricketer's performance goes down by age and time comes to say good-bye to cricket. yes, we can discuss on one's current performance and discuss on the time of retirement. But, by doing so we must not forget his past contribution and forget to give him his due respect for that. This is what we fans sometimes forget.
