Default All time top 10 Bangladeshi collapses

I'd like to invite esteemed BC members and legends to opine on the all time top 10 Bangladeshi collapses in the Test format (we don't need to go to ODIs or T20 to fill the list).

My contribution is of course today's collapse, which may be the mother of all BD collapses for the promise this innings had at 150-1 to where it ended up 65 odd runs later, 3 runs short of a follow-on target with 2 overs left to play. Have we ever been worse? Did Jamie Siddons catch a plane home tonight?

Luckily for this match's credentials, BD managed to lose the last 9 wickets for 63 runs. Excellent form, beating out the SL test from 2007 by 1 run. Well done. Would be good to get dates of the match, scorecard links and your personal memories of the moment (did you swear never to spend $$ subscribing to live coverage, swear to quit taking time off from work to watch this kind of nonsense,etc. )

Hot damn, Spitfire, that WI collapse was a beauty with all 10 going for 57 runs! It easily moves to #1 on our list just on stats. But on the psychological blow front, as well as tarnishing the nation's image, I wonder if today's is worse?

কোন লিষ্টিতে নাম উঠাবে জানি না তবে কিছুদিনের জন্য ক্রিকেট রুচি নষ্ট করার জন্য যথেষ্ঠ শক্তিশালী প্রদর্শণী।

Back then we didn't have any image to blow! Whatever happens in this test, we surely won't lose by innings and 310 runs :P

a collapse indicates that you have a platform of some sort. in that light, anytime we were bundled pretty cheap doesn't count. if your FoW is at 4, 15, 30, 35, etc en route to 112 all out...its not really a collapse, so much so as its a building that never made it past groundbreaking stage.

in that light...the all time worst BD collapse in my books (the ones i witnessed either live or thru cricnfo):

1) v India 2010 (290-3 --> 312 all out)
2) v England 2010 (126-0 --> 216 all out)

(above two are bad cuz the team is now somewhat decent)

3) v SL 2005 (155-2 --> 188 all out)

(this and others, don't really matter that much since 188 was a common place score for us anyways. still, this one was painful).

Seems that BD is reverting back to their old ways. thought a collapse like this will never happen again. I thought that 300 runs was there to be scored.

what adds to disappointment that its not bowlers who are earning wickets. its batsman who are giving wickets.

it would be tough ever for us to break this record

1. This match yet to finish. So let it be. If Bangladesh score 300-350+ in second innings again, we will totally forget about this innings and start to discuss how good we are in test level, why Tamim is not a captain, why Ashraful is playing or if Alok Kapali was there we would definitely win the series etc etc.

2. What Bangladesh did was enough for them. Little breeze and overcast condition + some intelligent bowling from English bowler destroyed our batting line up.

A sign that our national team have some more things to learn.

1. Bangladesh in 2nd innings of first test match..all out for 91 after scoring 400 in our 1st ever test innings.
2. Against WI at Dhaka 2002. 7/7 in a 5.1 over period.
3. India 2010: 290/3 to 312/10.
4. Today- 39/6 after 13.3 overs as the last innings of a pretty imressive English tour...no matter who scores what now this sad collapse just higlights our lack of improvements.

This one has to be right up there ... It was the 1st Innings of the test match as well and it still hurts me. We were in such a dominant position! 310-2 to 361 all out! All JO's fault! He should not have gotten out!

At least, they did not score the lowest test score at Old Trafford, a few other teams are there before them, at least 5 teams.

Yeah I was gonna mention the one against the pakis in 2003. We were 310-2 at one stage! From there we were 361 all out. But maybe the greatest of them all is 7 wickets for 7 runs?

That was due to ball tampering by the pakis.

I think the 20 wickets we lost for 200 odd runs makes this one of the worst, if not the worst.
