Default Simulation match thread: Banglacricket.com vs Fishlipps.no-ip.org (Aug 13 - 15)

Venue: Bouncy WACA pitch for this First Class match.
Captains: AsifTheManRahman (First Class average of 25.50), pokesthelippyfish (First Class average of 19.00)
Umpire: Zunaid (Banglacricket.com)

Updates: Match will start about 60 minutes from now (time of posting) with periodical updates, and a scorecard at stumps on each day.

Banglacricket.com team:

AsifTheManRahman (c), MasterBlaster, Hatebreed, Ehsan, Tehsin, Miraz, James90 (wk), Sunniath, Adel_chain_gang, Bancan, bourny3

Fishlipps.no-ip.org team:

AchaKamath, crazyolelady, pokesthelippyfish (c), Kille, djay6, gidget, shazzziam (wk), essa, silks, river_mouse, huru

If a moderator wants to merge this with the existing thread, that is fine, but I thought considering the amount of interest it was getting maybe it was better to separate them.

Good luck to BanglaCricket.

A bit worried to find Zunaid bhai as umpire.

Will use the full strength of my vocal cord during bowling.

Good performance from top oder, but middle and lower oder ruined any prospect of imposing a big total.

Looks like we were around 60 short of where we would've liked to be, but I have confidence in the middle/lower middle orders, especially with batsmen like Ehsan, Tehsin bhai, Miraz bhai and James around, so hopefully we'll have a better second inning (if we get to bat at all). For now, let's hope our relatively new bowling attack can shred them to pieces and fry them deep.

It's a shame I couldn't go on to convert my 50 to triple digits.

Sorry Bancan, but I had to accommodate the regular middle order batsmen between #3 and #8

Definitely we were 50-60 runs short. We should try to recover on the 2nd innings with the batting. Need to bowl them out below 300 if we have to get back in the game. Our bowlers will now have to show what they are made of. BTW thanks for the faith captain.

My apologies. As umpire, I was not able to surreptitiously turn the game in Bangladesh's favor. I have since had a tele-conference with proponents of the art from around the world and since have picked up a few pointers from the likes of Howell, Rana, de SIlva et al. Mind you - wait for the LBW calls.
