Poll 2: #8 or #9 Which one do you prefer (ODI ranking)

Off course everybody wants a higher ranking. The poll should be about, "What ranking currently do we deserve" instead.

8 is better than 9.
Slowly but surely, one day Inshallah, we'd be Number One.
Our rate of progress would be determined by our level of consistency.

Target should be to have 2-3 game-changers in the team. Curently, there is only Tamim, and he too is not a proven game-changer yet. I had high hopes from Mahmudullah and he is still on Radar. So is Shakib.

If i can recall correctly, Asraful was a game-changer but slept for way too long in between games.

These 2-3 game changers along with 3-4 top quality cricketers (BD has Shakib and Tamim already) should be enough to take the team in top-5 and in quick time.

^^ Ashraful was a game changer. 'Was' being the operative word. Either he whips into shape , or he is lost forever. I agree with you. We need 2-3 game changers and complimentary players sorrounding them. Riyad really should be given a chance to play at no.4. He is a cerebral player. You need someone like that in that slot. Someone who won't give his wkt away, but play to the field and build ( or, rebuild )the innings. Sadly, the Ashraful saga is over. What a waste! He was like a hampster on wheel. Fun to watch. But, an upgrade to a dog is very much needed, unless he becomes the dog !
