Most overhyped cricketer to ever come about. Overrated and it makes me sick to see him get a million dollar IPL contract and Nasir doesn't even get picked by any team...

anyone who can bat and bowl fast at the same time is always over hyped

Maxwell can't bowl. He is at most a number #7 batsmen.

He isn't overhyped by Aussies. Aussies hate him. They aren't oblivious like Zahidnyc is with Riyad. Aussies know bad players when they see one. I think selectors are the ones that overrate him.

yeah it's the selectors, maxwell=player with potential, mainly as a shorter format allrounder but the selectors are treating him like a genuine batsman and at times a genuine bowler. he may have potential, but certainly isn't there yet, definitely didn't have the domestic results to warrant national selection when he got it.

Finally the selectors have come to their senses to not include Maxwell in the Ashes squad.
