What a classy player!! Batting and Fielding!
Like Sakib said... doesn't get any better!
And good with his words as well. Sounds very confident on the mic

Congrats, Tammy boy. Actually I enjoy more your superb fielding than your excellent batting.
Welcome back, Junaid.

u can give Tamim that nickname until my man Shahadat 'The butcher' Rajib returns to the team (and he will). but I think we should work on a permanent nick for Tamim. how about Tamim the Terrorizer? too cheesy?

That's because he went to an English Medium School in Chittagong. Sunshine grammar school.

Go back two years ago after the ICC 20/20 games in SA, everyone wanted Tamim dropped from the National team, he was even banished to the U19 team and did not score, but management brought him back, stuck with him as an opener and he has rewarded them 10 times over. Everyone thought that he was a fluke after his marauding score against India.
I feel that he hs matured under JS, playing more classy strokes, and have shown patience and fortitude to space his innings.
Well done, Tamim, I always believed in you.

Another good innings in the last match is good enough to make him the Man of the series.

well I want his average to be at least above 33-35 within the next year. Anything below that is not par at all. The only player who has a decent avg. is Shak.

Tamim iqbal's averages in batting in tests is 27.63
& in ODI's its 28.75

he needs to improve his twenty 20 performances as his average in that format of the game is only 13.33 after 12 quite appauling games.

Thanks for the info. I just went back to cricinfo to check his stats and realized that the top row is for test stats and the second row was ODI stats. Hopefully he will turn his average in to mid 30s by next year.

Tamim said 80% credit goes to Salahuddin for helping him to develop his leg side shots -

http://www.prothom-alo.net/V1/mcat.n...xMDc2&mid=OA==

Back in the time Abdur Razzak also said Salahuddin helped him to develop different deliveries. So, Salahuddin is now coaching the players in all three departments!

Why is siddons allowing him to coach them? Siddons should be sacked for that. J/K

On a serious note. When I went to watch a practice match @ rural wormsley before T20 WC I saw a bit of batting practice by Raqibul, it was Salahuddin who was using the bowling machine and instructing Raqibul how to play the shots. So he does help a lot in other department. It will be big loss if BCB let him go just because we under performed in circus cricket.

Tamim stamps his class

Quote:
“This again vindicates my belief in setting goals and working hard to achieve that. This was easily the best innings I have ever played and it is dedicated to my late father. I am an international cricketer today because of him,” said Tamim while speaking from Bulawayo.
Quote:
“When you are chasing 300 plus there is a lot of stress on the mind and the natural tendency is to go and start hitting. But he (Siddons) never put us under any pressure. We were told that we will get there easily if we play normal cricket. The coach also said that it was not a problem if we got to 50 in the first 10 overs as long as we didn’t lose too many wickets.

So, Siddons is becoming better at pep talks.

The guy shows up two or three weeks before a tour and disappear after each tour, leaving other coaches to do all hard works for him.

Yeah. He is going to have another vacation for 3/4 weeks after the Zimb tour.

If his contract allows him to take those vacation (most likely the case), by all means he has every single right to take as many vacations he could possible get.

If you are disappointed and frustrated about this, you should target those feelings towards people who agreed to such a contract - not towards siddons for vacations which he has every right to take.
