Srilanka, a small island state in the midst of civil war became the world champsion. It's just that we Bengalis are incompetent in sports, no wonder west bengal only produced 1 quality cricketer in 60 years.

The only problem is their people don't give a thing about cricket. Most of them don't even know they have cricket team.

nice comment at least somebody is being realistic here , we should keep our test status at hault just like zimbabwe and practice with first class teams from England sri lanka and india etc.. to improve our test cricket playing abilities
The truth is ZIMBABAWE has ijjot shomman so they halted their test status which we bengalis dont have lolz

Ireland should get more matches to develop their skills, It seems they're pretty much focused on the game of Cricket. ICC should take notice of Irish instead trying gain USAs attention for Cricket. Good Luck!

the good thing irish is doing is that they are playing more against Scots, Afgans, Canada, Kenya..and they are winning handsomely. This is boosting their confidence level tremendously. and winning against Bangladesh is just icing on the cake for them !
Bangladesh, on the other hand, completely ignoring their main competitors Zim, Kenya, Ireland. Right now, Bangladesh is stuck in the middle. They neither belong to Elite level nor Associate level. ORPHAN !

Many of the Irish cricketers play county cricket in England and are used to the bouncy wickets and conditions at home. BD batsmen are clueless. A few Scottish and Neth players also play county cricket, so great exposure. IMO, these teams are on par with BD or even better, so BD should have been an Associate team up to now. They would have played better like Ireland to win all the ICC league matches. ireland has to fight hard to stay on top and they are trying for test status. BD was handed test status on a silver platter when they really was not ready for it, and they do not seem to care and know that it is a great honour to be playing test cricket.

What a performance by BD. Now I want Siddons to stay, get us out of the hole you led us Mr. Coach. Or leave humiliated down to knees.
