Inshaallah we will...
May God bless our team...

tomorrow no way Bangladesh can win, Bangladesh always perform when they are not known to others, and not when everyone expects them to perform. So since they showed beat SA and everyone is talking about Bangladesh for the past couple of days, tomorrow they will be commentating how they still have to get the maturity and mentality and consistency to come out with a game plan and execute it both physically and mentally on the field. How they still have to understand the mental game of cricket and the tricks of good bowling and batting.

England almost sealed a win against SL. They were unlucky. I hope they are unlucky tomorrow too.

England played well against Australian bowling and also their match against SL can be considered an even match. So to me, everybody is under estimating their strength and form. They are actually a better composite team with bat and ball compared to SA.

It's not just talking about them..it's about English batsmen and their seamers who are doing great job so far bowling. Previous matches BD struggled a lot against England.
2000 BD played ok scoring 232 for 8 where as END got that run loosing only 2 wkts ion 43 overs.
2003 BD played three times against END where BD scored 143, 134, 182 respectively. EN won by 3 wkts in 25.3 overs(146), 3 wkts(137) in 27+ overs, and by 7 wkts (scoring 183 in 39 overs).
2005 BD also played England three times in England:
BD scored 190(45.2 overs) and England winning by 10 wkts scoring 192.
ENG scored 391/4 and BD scored 223(45.2 overs) thus loosing by 168 runs.
BD scored 208/7 and END scored 209/5(38.5 overs) winning by 5 wkts.

Now you tell me what we can do this time? Clearly ENG knows our strength and they know whom to target.

Those days are gone.

If England wins tomorrow then that will be an upset.
There can be upset in cricket. But definitely we'll beat current England 6 out of ten times without any confusion.
The England you mentioned had Trescothik and the BD you mentioned had Pilot. Both will watch the match on TV tomorrow.

END has better players now than in 2003,2005. Whereas we have young players. I am scared for this reason that they played really close games against Australia and Lanka. I believe we did extremely bad against these two teams.

apparently, according to the sky sports reporters, the pitch tomorrow will be similar to the ones in the subcontinent, which is VERY contrary to popular belief. the people over at sky sports were really concerned about bangladesh's spin-trio, and looks like there might just be some good news for us.

i haven't read the sky sports piece myself, but came to know about it from Nayef bhai, another BC member.

"Six-hitting", eh?

Quote:
The Bangladesh batsmen had a unique training session on Monday morning. They will face England at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Wednesday.
The Asians were trying their hand at six-hitting as coach Dav Whatmore used the last half of the early morning session at the Windward Cricket Club to flex some muscle.

Ha ha Nice Said.

After watching the WI’s performance against SA…BD has a lot of reason for delighting. We beat SA by 67 runs and SA beat WI by 67 runs…so I think our Bowling Attack is very good and this will help us to Beat England in today’s match. England looks vulnerable and they are not playing as a Team…they didn’t beat any Test Status Country yet…they just beaten Kenya, Canada and Ireland. IF BD plays their normal and natural game…I don’t find any reason why we can’t beat the England. In my sense, England is now the weakest team who has Test Status. But I am very much concerned about our Captain Habibul…in the last match he batted in the very important position and made 5 runs in 16 ball…Ashraful’s and Mash’s marvelous batting hide that poor performance…but if Bashar did his regular job today…our Semifinal mission will be hampered for sure. We can’t expect blasting innings everyday from Ash and Mash. Bashar should take his responsibility….and about JO…the least I can say is better…he is totally boring and useless member in the team….I think the sooner he will get out will be the better for us.

I wish Mashrafi/Rasel bowls like Malinga (line and length) and get 4 wickets in 4 balls (they almost caught SA). And the spinners get their job done like as they did to India and SA. Sensible batting will again put us among the ranks. Tamim and JO each needs to make a quick fire 50. Everyone (aftab, saquib, mushfiq, ashraful, rafique, mashrafi) needs to contribute to a big score. Fielding as usual would be great. Everyone already praised fielding.

Good, good. Kensington Oval field is relatively small, I won't be surprised if this match turns out to be a high scoring affair.

hmm...Mashrafe hasn't got a wicket in three matches in a row now. we really need him to fire, because when he's on song, helmets, confidence and most importantly wickets will be broken at a low cost.

Good luck Bangladesh. Let's go and change the history. Let's efface all the shame of past. Let's go and give the english a good lesson which is a due.

Kevin Piterson is the danger man. Collingwood also but somehow we need to get this Piterson guy early. He has tremendous strike rate but also gives chances to get out. BD has to bowl and field well and Insha Allah they will. Go BD!!!

Bell, KP, Colly and Flinty are the danger players. We have to get them out cheaply.

About the pitch, from UK Times -

Quote:
Bangladesh are likely to find conditions here different from the slow, low pitch that allowed them to stifle South Africa in Guyana on Saturday. Bell broke into a smile at the thought of the England pace attack bowling to young batsmen raised to play off the front foot.

The surface is cracked, forming self-contained areas the size of big dinner plates, but Whatmore, the Bangladesh coach, does not expect them to open and create targets for his spin bowlers, even towards the end of a baking day. “There is grass underneath to hold it together,” he said.

'We have still got a long way to go' Whatmore not satisfied by success

Quote:
"We can't just sit back and say: 'That's it, we have answered our critics and that's the end of the story'," Whatmore said. "Far from it. We have still got a long way to go yet and the reality is that Bangladesh are still the No. 9 side in the world and, as sometimes happens, we put in a shocking performance and we get beaten heavily.

"When that happens, it leads to more comments [from the critics]. We know that within ourselves we have improved and that we are capable of causing upset wins and we would like that to continue."

"The win against South Africa gave us a lift but we are not getting carried away," Whatmore said. "Everyone who saw the game in Guyana knows that conditions there were very different to the ones we encountered in Antigua."
