We did not win it. We did not loose it either. But what we lost is a great chance to pull off a fantastic win. We could not do it for our mental sickness- loosing attitude.

Disappointed to see our loser mentality at the end.

Has it been planned; remember Dave's secret meeting with bcci officials in a chittagong hotel late at night?

i don't understand all this negativity...bangladesh did play well! on the last day...bowling was great!! if bowling/fielding is as great next time, then we can win. also, mashrafe's batting was very good with a very good strike rate during the first innings...so perhaps if instead of rajin saleh, ashraful, sakib, and mashrafe were to go in (even if they got out), they would have batted better and possible win with a lot of boundaries...remember how people were like India is going to win for sure...well they DIDN'T win this match!

better luck next time to bangladesh!

good to see we suffocated them in the second inning and then our batters got to beat the ball around a bit. should give the top order some confidence ahead of the next game.

This type of opportunity to win test matches does not come too often. We could not understand the importance of it and did not act according to it.

Seems like we are not playing for win. We are playing for draw or loose. I cannot accept this.

If we had gone for a win, most likely we would have lost. Nothing new, it would have been another loss. But, if we had won, it would have changed our game of cricket, and that would have been forever. What a loss.

Really disappointed!

The first person to have talked sense here to be honest.
250 runs in 43 overs. What people fail to see and understand is that this is test cricket and not ODI. Bangladesh used to perish miserably before in the longer version because they failed to differentiate between the slower mode of playing fromthe faster one.

And the fans crying out for a win have the mentality of the older team I say.
The Aussies themselves would have hit a lot but not reached the target. Wonder why?
The field setup, closed in, the bowling, wides are not called wides in test and seldom would you see a batsmen playing a wide delivary for a four or a six. Chasin after a wide won can only result in the loss of a wicket and we have seen that in Bangladesh's first innings.

It was a near to impossible task to chase the total in all honesty. How many times have you seen the much better Bangladesh ODI side score 250 in 43 overs in an ODI?
It is dire to have expected a win here.

Bangladesh did the right job by playing well and drawing the test match.

What could have been expected was for Mashrafe to come out instead of "Snail-Saleh" as I would like to call him. Saleh is not a spin player. He is more adjusted for playing fast bowlers.

Mashrafe would have made merry here. Would have been good to see Rafique in had Mashrafe had fallen.

The game was there to have chanced. Mash and Rafique COULD have brought us close, but whoever sent out Saleh was pretty dumb. The draw was always in the cards, had taking a chance costed a few wickets, we could still switch modes and have Saleh, Mashud, Saqib and all of them come out later.

This team and the management still need to learn how to be pro-active and not reactive and plan out the lineup in accordance to the situation. Absolutely dire it was.

Could have been more exciting had we even had 200 on the board with all the overs wasted!
