Default What to do about umpiring

Umpiring has been a huge issue for us.
  1. We either have the De Silva's, who completely kills us.
  2. We we have our Moni's, who, in trying to show that they are unbiased, are biased against us.

Unfortunately, there is only one Alim Daar in the world.

What can BCB do? If they want to do anything, off course.

Bangladeshi umpires hurt us most. They are back boneless. I am really unhappy with the quality of the umpiring so far in this series. Most of the wrong decisions came from the BD umpires.

that SL umpire Martinez has been total crap too. As if Moni and Martinez are in a competition to be the worst.

Yeah, it's def. umpires' fault. They made us drop 13 catches in last 2 games with and making our top and middle order score less than 50 in TOTAL.

Sack the umpires.

If the umpires did not give every wrong decision against us, we still might have won. But yes, those dropped catches were definitely much bigger culprits.

^ This isn't the right time to vent about them. It just looks silly and childish, and makes all of us look like bunch of crybabies. We were 13/5 for FFS and umpires didn't even have to be their for those wickets.

Umpiring has been a longstanding problem for us. Does Multan ring a bell?

The home teams generally gets a preferential treatment. But, not us. In the past, when some cricket boards raised stink, it made a difference. Can BCB do it? (I am not expecting them to, BTW.)

We played bad. It's TRUE.

But that doesn't mean we cannot question the quality of umpiring specially when it's too poor!

What a terrible decision unbelievable. Talking about Gazi decision. Shuziburo bhai is right, Moni tried to show how unbiased he is by making a biased decision against us

I'm not denying the fact that umpires have made some horrible calls against us. I'm questioning the timing of this thread. You can't say this doesn't sound like a crybaby thread.

Until we break into top 3 and play important series, we'll continue to get crappy, 3rd class umps.

Both moni and 3rd umpire Anis is bad. Yesterday Anis could have given out to samuel. his bat was not placed inside the line but he gave it to his favor. i am sure if it was a BD player, he would have given it out.

Get anyone besides Moni, Asoka and Peter Parker.

That will be a start. Having both umpires foreign (besides Asoka and Parker) would help too.

The purpose of an umpire is to officiate a game fairly. Imagine Marlon Samules was given out incorrectly and there goes WI all out within 130. Result, BD wins the game easily eyes closed.
Tamim not given out for some reason in ODI 4 and we get to win game 4 with 10 overs to spare.
Thats how critical a decison is! One wrong decision can completely change the outcome of a game.

That out against Gazi was simply laugable! Moni has been consistently biased for foreign teams from day 1. He wants to prove that he is not biased but his wrong decisons one after another costing us matches after matches. Sure we dropped catches, played bad at different stages, but it does not mean that we have to accept multiple wrong decisions against us. One wrong decison, you are already lost, and when you have multiple wrong decisions then whats the point of even playing the game? Let moni write us a LOSS at the beginning of a match.

Bottom line: We need UDRS. And BCB/ICC needs to fire this pathetic loser called Moni.

Exactly! These idiot umpires think giving foreign teams favor will enhance their career. Reality it wont. They will never get into Elite panel and we would lose matches after matches. BCB should fire all these pathetic so called umpires. Just use the robots, we have better chance to win! And talk about home field advantage. Nothing works for us: pitch, selectors, coach and top it off with umpires. How can we even think of winning with all these obstacles?

Nasir's wicket was total rubbish...Ball hit the ground and the WK gloves at the same time...complete benefit of the doubt should have been given. Then the third umpire ruled not out when Thomas was clearly out with his bat in the air in the last match. In AC match vs India Shakib was clearly in and that was given out...we were lucky Mushy bailed us out to win, but umpires did their job to ensure BD lost. Its not just on field umpires, even third umpires are now getting in on the act. I don't know if its a conspiracy but it certainly looks that way. Benefit of doubt always goes against BD.

Shohag's was also a key wicket...remember WI were at an identical position and posted 211 at that stage. Shohag didn't get an inside edge and it was too high to be an lbw.
