Gonna go for a break. Too much of investment has gone into this world cup from my side and am sure from everyone's side in most aspects, be it financial, emotional. Anyways, the reality check is: we have achieved the same in 2007. And we are still stuck at the same in 2015. Kenya had got to semis in 2003, Sri Lanka won a WC in 1996 after just 14 years of test status. And Pakistan over all odds won it in 1992. Anyways, maybe i was dreaming, but this team's potential is only for ocassional victories. Ask yourself a hard question, how many of us here believed after our 2007 victory that we have a solid batsmen in Tamim Iqbal. Where is he now? Earlier than that, it was Ashraful. And now same thing happening with Shakib. The same might happen with the likes of Nasir and Sabbir as well. This was the time our senio players had to deliver. No need to brag about Riyad. We always had layers blossom and disappear again. Alok showed form in the middle and went. Some of them have become better players alrite, but as a team we've defnitely reached a plateau. And there is just not enough for us to make it big. We might win a world cup, surely, but after afghanistan has won it once, and indians, pakistanis, and sri lankans have won it 3-4 times. It was fun for a while. And 2019 we'll talk the same stuff, but end up with 2-3 wins like in 2015, and talk forever we're improving. That'll be Bd's cricket story till doomsday.
