Whoa, the beauty of philosophy is not restricted to one area of learning; it is multi-faceted. I can be a philosopher without ever reading a single work of those famous philosophers; it's at this stage you become your best thinker. The individual.
Oh yeah, that's completely a good approach in getting some sense of what the hell they are actually saying.
On a much different note, I regard Bob Marley as the greatest philosopher in the last half of the last century, and the last philosopher.
On a much, much different note, Philosophers always light up blunts.

Just took a quick look at the Philosophy book,
it does not really look like a textbook, it is more on the descriptive side. I will have more insight when I actually get to start reading it.
And thanks for that inspirational post above brother. Bob Marley all the way,

You should read all of Stephen King's books, and then watch his films.

Shantaaram has a lot of philosophical thoughts about relationships, and suffering. I think for pleasure I would read this subject in small doses in a story.
Also let’s not forget it is boi mela season or book fair in Bangladesh

I've read almost all of Agatha Christie's books. I really love a whodunit story, and she is the best at it.
