I think group B is a bit stronger than group A. My bet is on Ireland, Afghanistan, Nepal, UAE, Scotland and Netherlands.
Also in contention - Hong Kong, Namibia.
Upset candidates - PNG, Canada, Kenya.

I can safely say, as long as there is the World T20, Associate cricket won't die. Good for them! Countries where there is genuine fan support for the team should qualify. So that means, Ireland, Nepal, PNG, Afghanistan, Netherlands and Scotland.

A joke of a qualifier, governed by a joke of a governing body, releasing this info at the latest possible information to screw the home boards over as much as possible

for a joke of a world cup with the qualifiers rewarded with another qualifier where 1 game defines everything all the while the governing body harps on about expansion ignoring the fact that Nepal are bowling to Pakistan G in UAE kit behind a televised warm up game between India and Sri Lanka.

Ya eff the ICC, this crap annoys me probably more than the ODI WC, least then the twats are honest about their BS.

Even worse is they've won, the average guy is totally unaware that this is essentially the ten team WC the ICC has always wanted, and they're being applauded for this format as its "expansive" hahaha.

To give you an idea as to the stupidity involved.

Ireland beat USA
Ireland beat Italy
Ireland beat Canada
Ireland beat Namibia
Ireland beat Hong Kong
Ireland beat UAE (3 times)
Ireland hammered Afghanistan
Ireland beat Zimbabwe
Ireland lost one game, the last one, vs a SA/Aus select, who

lost to Scotland
lost to UAE
lost to Zimbabwe
lost to PNG

during the same qualifying process and got to reach the next stage and played very well, but robbed 2 more deserving sides.

And rather than do the common sense thing and have

3 groups of 5
or 4 groups of 4

they proceed anyway.

Screw this BS tournament, the hell does it mean? We won the whole freaking thing last time for nothing, may as well field a under 14 side

Bangladesh fans will probably want to watch this as you will end up playing 3 of them, but this whole thing is a farce and maybe if Ban get knocked out at the first stage you''ll understand why this ****** me off so much.

Will India,Aus,Eng ever be exposed to a format where 1 loss - elimination?

Not a bloody chance.

Last time Bangladesh lost to HK but didn't get eliminated. So it's wrong. But I agree that its partial. For Ireland it's uneven, but Bangladesh could easily have been in top 8 now by winning a couple of matches against top teams last time at home. They couldn't, even didn't get close to it. So, same ladder again.

ICC had it 4 groups of 3 each for a few times before this WC. It didn't change much.

I feel ye bro....really. But you should feel proud on the other end that Ireland is one of those few countries that can compete with the best teams in a sport which frankly, even the most intelligent breed of chinese won't be able to master, unlike some other outdoor olympic team sports that they have mastered. And that is where probably the 'elitism' factor comes in....because the decades it takes for a country's cricket to reach a level...and you should be proud that Ireland is knocking at tests in less than decade after making its World Cup debut.....people say we were so lucky..but you have no idea bro on the excruciating wait Bangladesh had to suffer. Our first ICC Trophy was in 1979....and beleive it or not, we have been missing World Cup qualification by whisker even in 1980s ICC trophy qualifiers..with same compaison, I think Ireland's wait will be worth it...they will join test ranks soon..just have patience till test challenge in 2018...Ireland's persistence is going to defy any kind of resistance from ICC....I can surely say this as I have witnessed Bangladesh's rise over the years, and Ireland's rise is similar...you are an example

Bit off topic but what have Ireland got in the pipeline in terms of pace bowling? For me the lack of a quality seam attack was the main reason they failed to make it to the quarter finals in the WC as their medium paced trundlers look harmless and unless things change they will continue to fall short in world cups and other tournaments making it even more impossible to get tours let alone test status.

Doesn't help when you have sell outs like Rankin jumping ship.
