Shakib and Fizz are unlikely to play any match in DPL because of their IPL commitments.

Good to see Sanjit Saha and Joyraj Sheik.

By the way, any one know what happened to pinak? Why isn't he in squads?

^^ Pinak last year played for Cricket Coaching School (CCS). If he has not taken part in transfer, that's the club he will remain with. However, his team was relegated to Dhaka First Division.

Last time he was on TV, in BPL dugout, people said he badly looked out of shape.

There was no news about Liton, Shanto, or Saqlain taking part in the transfer. If they have remained with Abahani, the team is looking scary for sure.

^^ Yeah, no big deal if he is missing out in domestics. But his absence was badly felt in the last U/19 series.

^^ Not confirmed yet, since national players will officially sign deals after returning from Lanka, but reports says Tamim decided to switch over to Mohammedan. So, Abahani will keep both Taskin and Mosaddek as their pool players, besides Riyad.

So many of the guys who played in the WC last year are regulars in their respective teams, it is disappointing to not see Pinak.

No Shahid for the league, as he will have to go through a six months rehab process.

Liton is also expected to be out for six weeks, so he will miss first part of the league.

Premier Div Cricket begins on April 12

Quote:
The Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) deferred the league to allow cricketers involved in the ongoing series in Sri Lanka, and those who had played in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup more recovery time ahead of the competition.

The CCDM has also fixed March 31 to April 10 as the window for clubs to complete the transfer formalities of players who have not been registered yet.
I wonder if Azmir got a club yet.

Tigers' short DPL stint before Sussex departure

Quote:
It is still unconfirmed how many matches the national players will play in the country's most coveted 50-over competition as they will be leaving for Sussex on April 26, where they will take part in a training camp as part of their preparations for the tri-nation series in Ireland and the ICC Champions Trophy in England.

The foreign staff including head coach Chandika Hathurusingha, who went on leave after the series against Sri Lanka, will join the team in Sussex.

"We will sit tomorrow [Sunday] to discuss the details regarding the national players' participation in the Premier League and upcoming tours to Ireland and England," informed chief selector Minhajul Abedin yesterday.

After going through a ten-day camp in Sussex, the Tigers will travel to Ireland to play the tri-nation series against the hosts and New Zealand. They will play their first match against Ireland on May 12 at Malahide in Dublin.

Since Mirpur Stadium is still not ready, we will see more matches in BKSP grounds than last year.

^^ In the OP, I have put up a list of players who participated in the players transfer. Others, I am assuming, will stay with their teams from the last season.
