We need more of this. He has issues converting 20's and 30's into big ones, but a 70 and a 100 in consecutive series isn't bad at all.

Congrat Imrul.

In a given day I would rather have a lucky but successful player than talented but unlucky player.

this isnt about whinning or whinging...congrats to him for this efforts...but at a slow strike rate of 73...its not as good as it can be.

yeh now ppl will say if he played faster he wudve got out or if he didnt play that innings we wudnt have gotten to 240 wateva...but there was a touch of selfish criket about the innings. n after playing 140 balls he cudnt pik the arm ball?

we need mroe of this...but faster

Exactly....looks like some folks are mixing up with "dropped caches" and "areal and risky shot" all together. If that is their criteria for getting lives than lets be fair here how many lives does Ash/Tamim/Sakib got in their centuries? Let's not set differnt standards for different players.

Well he's obviously been the first choice #2 in ODIs for a while. Let's hope he keeps converting his 20s and 30s to biggies.

selfish cricket? huh?? very unfair comment ....he was playing according to match condition when top order again failed to perform and he had to continue his innings slowly to prevent from future collapse ...not just for his century.

Congrats, but lets keep it up. And also keep the batting average on the way up, too.

I watched his innings. By far, the best scoring batsman, he paced his innings very well, and he was determined to get this century. His score made BD reach 241 runs.
I think that Siddons should really nurture him, for IMO, he will be a good batsman for BD. He has proved it by scoring this century against very good bowling and fielding.

not the most convinving innings, lots of edges, but then most long innings involve some element of luck. it's not how you score the runs but that you actually score them, sooner or later a batsman will be found out if they're not good enough, imrul has looked good at times on the international stage so hopefully this ton gives him the confidence to look more solid more often.
