Default Reason we lost

Rahim was awful

First innings top order was a joke

Imrul should open or not be in the team

Dropped catches

Lyon and Warner played well

Above all, we gave our home advantage away with this pitch, it wasn't a complete road, it was flat most of day 2 and 3, but it was a result pitch that didn't turn big

I've rarely seen Bangles score a mammoth total in a test match. Often that is what is needed such as in this 3rd innings in the current game - that's what has lost them this game.

I dont care what the hell your reasoning is. If you want to post in this forum you address Bangladesh team as Tigers or BD team or Bangladesh team. No Bangles no Bangbros or any other filth the trolls prefer to use. Not here and not on my watch. Hope i am being clear.

Well said. No making fun of our country's name. There are some crude references to "Bangers" etc. that should also be outlawed as well.

So you expect us to believe "Bangla" or "Bangladesh" or even "Bengalis" suddenly autocorrect to "Bangles"?

Once my POPCORN turned into P*rn ... so there's that.

onto the topic, this is our regular thing. This will happen on a regular basis. Did you all forgot the 200 that Shakib scored against NZ and went on to loose the match. Or that time Gilespe scored a 200 (LOL).

What about the fact that Shakib bats with no responsibility (has failed in 3 out of 4 innings in the series and rode his luck in the other) and can't pick up wickets without getting support from the pitch?

How dare you speak about Banglar jaan and pran? If it wasn't for him BD does not win first test. Regardless how p!ss poor he is for another dozen test, does not matter. Because he is the KING player. He gets to ride how he likes!

Not like he threw it away did he

As for no support from the pitch, No one can pick up wickets without the batsman making a mistake and fielders not taking catches

Based on what has transpired:

- Our batsman are irresponsible and some have no reason to be playing International Test cricket. Senior players like Tamim and Shakib seemed like they were suffering from Eid blues

- Fielding has been nonsense. Yes Sarkar took some catches but he was lucky he held on to some of them and was napping on many occasions.

- Bowling: most of our bowlers depend on the pitch to do all the work. We are lucky to have batted in the 1st innings.

- Captaincy has been great in the first match but was rubbish in the second. With Miraj going for so many runs he should have used someone e

We used to do this to ourselves before the last 12 months as well. Pack the side with batsman and go for flat surface. This strategy never worked well for us as evident from our Test record and I truly believed that the thinking has finally changed (due to the surfaces we prepared for England and the 1st test with Australia). I thought we are finally giving our Bowlers more control over the game rather than the batsman through pitches which have more bite. That was until this game in which we again went for a draw and prepared a flat track. If Australia had won the toss this would have been an innings defeat because we never had the batsman to cash in with centuries and double hundreds.

The only run machine we did have, Mominul, we destroyed his confidence by not picking him regularly and chopping and changing his batting order. We also never learnt from our mistakes. Kayes Shabbir and Soumya these are three players that do not warrant a Test team spot. Shabbir and Soumya are ODI players and should play that format. In test match cricket you cannot hit your way out of trouble. Even a batsman like Warner played 200 balls for his century. You need grit and you need confidence about your own defense at this level.

Deserve to lose. Complacency played a part in this. Team selections are horrible. More than a 1/3 of the players shouldn't even be in the squad. Pitch was surprising. Defensive mindset. Mominul batting at #8 sums it all up.

Hangover, Bonus Taka Peye From Winning first test. All took it too relaxing.

Nasir hossain ke jodi paitam ami tar age er boro, bala tikieh sylheti bashai bohk tam take, shalar chance peychos 2bochor por kichui boro balo korlo na. 2test e ekti 80 odd korto jodi, then all this fan craze support he got would've been justified! (i too wanted him back but not in test but ODI, but since he got the test then should've made it count cause I think he has better credentials to bat longer than Sabbir And Sarkar).

But sadly, He looked to me such a relaxed person who has earnt enough paisa and nothing go work hard for.
Did anyone seen his interview? Bolechilo, "jodi amra (BD team) jodi amader 80% kelte pari tahole basically he was trying to say jitbo"). The way he said it seemed so he was assured and sounded complacent as if they're some giants.

Dude you only got back into side, your body lang is same as ever, even more chilled and like a gaowali romantic hero!

Mas, I agree with you 100%, brother! I have been most dissapointed at this Nasir during this match/series.

BTW my most beloved late dadi(RIP) was also sylhoty! She was one of the most affectionate and kind persons towards me.
