BD won toss

Good start winning the toss they decided to field ???

If WI batting takes off then we are screwed

I dont know why we elected to field. I think it would have been much better to put 250 on the board and put pressure on the WI batsmen. Anyway, dont want to start the series on a negative note. Lets hope our bowlers bowl well and keep things tight. GO BD!!

3 over 3 runs. Good.

On the side note, did anyone got live BTV feed connected at homeviewbangladesh site? I can't get connected.

Default Manju

Why do i have folks talking bad about this guy ? He may not be the fastest but he is the anchor for the team. OK, he doesn't get wickets but look what he is doing out there.

Two maidens against West indies, hahahahah. Even India would be proud to have him in their team right now, khek. If Manju was playing against Bangladesh, he would have walked away with few wickets.

Default The team again

Knowing West indies bowling strenght, we needed more batsmen out there. Five bowlers and some out-of-form batsmen (Ash and Sumon) is not what we needed?

I still have a good feeling about it cause we are playing in Chatga.

Default Manju does it ????

10.3 Manjural Islam to Hinds, OUT: pitched up delivery on the off stump line, Hinds moves back and has a go at it, the ball hits the bottom of the bat and balloons up towards the long-off region, Hannan Sarkar get under it and holds on to it, Manjural Islam strikes!

West Indies 49/1, Partnership of 49
WW Hinds c Hannan Sarkar b Manjural Islam 30 (34b 5x4 0x6)
CH Gayle 13* (31b 2x4) Manjural Islam 5.3-2-23-1 (1w)

When I wrote my last post, I was thinking I SHOULDN'T cause if Manju gets beat up, some folks will point their fingers at me. Well guess what, Manju was hit four a 4 and 2 and I thought, I'm dead, Muahahahahahahah. Manju Strikes.

59 for 1 after 12 overs is a great start for Bangladesh. I hope they keep it up. So far, we haven't allowed Gayle to free his arms. Good stuff.

Monjurul has bowled 7 overs now for 27 runs and a wicket. Taposh is about to start his 7th over. Pilot ought to be thinking about a change. The one thing he is alway slow to do is change his bowlers around. I hope he will keep 3 overs from Monju and 3 from Taposh for the end.

Good thing naimur doing good:

<^BDESH_WI> 22.6 Naimur Rahman to Sarwan, no run, defended leaning forward
<^BDESH_WI> End of over 23 (maiden) West Indies 97/2 (RR: 4.22)
<^BDESH_WI> Naimur Rahman 4-1-6-0 - Pedrollo End

Default Still FIGHTING

We have few players in the team who are actually under pressure to perform or they get the axe. Durjoy being number one and Rafique to follow. Could it be that they have learnt from time off the field ?

Default Question ...

Rafique is on his 8th over. Who can we use now ? Remember this, if we let them go loose once, they will make the bets of it.

Our options are Ash, Kapali and Sanwar. Who can keep up the pressure ? I am thinking Ash because of his recent form.

Yeah, great stuff so far. The WI will have to score almost at 7 to post 250! If we keep things tight, we should restrict them within 230.

Default Ash is not working

We need to change the little guy, does not look like this is his day. Let's try out Sanwar/Kapali for a over and see if that works out for us.

Containment is necessary, but wickets are also important...especially Sarwan's. He has to go before 40 th.
