He needs to corrects his line and length - he will be a good bowler in no time. Same goes to Shafiul.
Send them to BKSP for a year training - they will come good.

Sorry Abul, but you are done before you could eve begin. You don't get on Shakib's bad side.
Clearly Shakib is talking about the lack of effort on that one pop up where Abul waited and took it on the bounce. It was one of those "if I don't get to it, it's not a catch nor it's a drop" -- I hear that all the time from deshi fielders, even Harash Vogloii was saying that in today's game. By his book it's not a catch if you don't get to it. Losers.

he is a fast bowler... he has the hardest job with the lowest pay amongst bangladeshi professional cricketers....
i see a lot of potential with this guy to be honest, someone just needs to work with him for an extended period of time......
Fast bowlers historically are the worst fielders (anderson is an exception) and they are excused for it due to the injury that can result from unnecessary dives.

^^ Anderson isn't the only exception. Steyn, Umar Gul, all of the West Indies fast-medium bowlers are all good fielders. Zaheer Khan is a slow fielder but he is a good bowler and India's quality pace bowling cupboard isn't overladen with riches. Nowadays, if a fast bowler is a poor fielder, it may be because he's very tall (as in above 6 foot 4) and gangly and is thus less co-ordinated. Clearly, Abul - or any of our pacers - shouldn't have that problem.

fast bowlers nowadays have become quite good fielders, there was a time when they weren't quite so good fielders but most of them are pretty good now.

My question was why he was placed there to begin with! We need a better fielding coach to get started....the coach has no plan how to place fielders for which bowler. Letting Julien go was catastrophic

Its about time that this bunch of losers are sent to an academy to get their basics right. I was always a critic of shafiul and abulcrap, time to bring in nazmul and rubel

You missed that 'if I don't get to that ball, it won't be a missed catch. Better stay back' moment. That sure earned him lots of fans around here.

He is a bright young prospect. There was considerable risk of injury if he dived over the ball. Was it worth the risk? He ensured his fitness and his place in the team.
They don't care about what fans say. Free vacation to SL, nice BCB contracts, and some TV ads..what else one needs.

Potential girl friend(s)/spouse which would be oh so difficult if he was not in the team.
