With bangladesh you can't because pak is much better then us so they will beat us quite easily. Even if we beat them in 1 game, it is a upset, not a victory.
There should be mutual respect between the both sides fans but I dont see where the rivarly comes in.

Bangladesh and Pakistan are rivals mainly because their both subcontinental teams. Same can be said about Sri Lanka and India. Performance wise though we can't call each other rivals. Pakistan is 25-1 against us in ODIs and we have similar records against Sri Lanka and India. In my opinion, the only rival we can say is Zimbabwe performance wise since our record with them is pretty even. Hopefully we can start beating the subcontinental teams more often so we can develop more intensity in to these friendly rivalries.

As myself: Welcome new PP regulars. Let's see how long this bonhomie lasts when the matches start. Or should we say beatdowns? Damn Pakistan develops bowlers like Brazil develops wingers

i dont have any problem with the word bangla......"bengali" is just anglicizing the word "bangla" imposed by the british..
and there is too much fuss about the word "bangladesh" aswell...."bangladesh" origins from joining the two words "bangla" +"desh". translation of "desh" is "country". Thus, the meaning of the whole word "bangla-desh" is "country of bangla" or "country of bengal" if anglicized
thanks

Too much storm in tea-cup. People like to use diminutive form whenever they can. The only reason it sounds galling to our ears is that the diminutive form (Bangla) happens to mean something (the language, the region). I have no issues with Bangla. The word has no pejorative connotations. Even Bong is ok and mildly funny.

What up Bangy?
The Aussies have "mate", the Americans "man" and "homie", so on and so forth. So why not us?

^^ We have dosto/bhai/apa/unkel/mama etc etc thrown around with abandon and in reference to people who are not related to us in any way. I actually do have Western friends who refer to me as dost/bhai/bhaiya!
