1st Test Sri Lanka vs West Indies July 13th -17th
Congratulaions to Sri Lanka, who are about to play there 150th Test.
I'm sure DW and his staff will watch the match to see the state of Lanka cricket right because of the long layoff.
match will start in 5 hrs.
If Muttiah Muralitharan gets his way i predict a 2 day Test win for Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka Marvan Atapattu (capt), Sanath Jayasuriya, Mahela Jayawardena, Kumar Sangakkara (wk), Thilan Samaraweera, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Upul Chandana, Chaminda Vaas, Nuwan Zoysa, Muttiah Muralitharan, Lasith Malinga, Gayan Wijekoon, Russel Arnold, Rangana Herath.
West Indies Shivnarine Chanderpaul (capt), Denesh Ramdin (wk), Darren Powell, Omari Banks, Kerry Jeremy, Deighton Butler, Sylvester Joseph, Narsingh Deonarine, Dwayne Smith, Tino Best, Jermaine Lawson, Xavier Marshall, Runako Morton, Ryan Ramdass.

They who were supposed to win in two days are 94 for 6 now. All recognized batsmen gone and still 191 behind.

After 2nd day's play:
West Indies 285 & 17/3
Sri Lanka 227
West Indies lead by 75 runs with 7 wickets remaining
I don't think WI can win this match. But they've fought well indeed.

Why do you say that? They seem to be doing pretty good. The game is far from being over, No?

I didn't expect SL would score only 227 and WI would get the first innings lead.
It seems like the inexperience WI team is playing like our boys. They batted well in first innings also bowled well. But in the second innings they are just started falling apart. Its same as BD team since it is very rare our boys could bat well in both the innings.
Our team should watch this series very carefully. I think they will.

After day 3.
West Indies 285 & 59/6 (35.5 ov)
Sri Lanka 227
Vass ripped through the top order of West Indies.
I am very surprised to see Sri Lanka all out for 227; very good bowling from WI.

West Indies in Sri Lanka, 2005, 1st Test
Gosh!
West Indies dismal batting is worst in their history. They are squashed to 69 for 8 in the 2nd innings. Chanderpaul is the only savior (47 not out) and took the score from 69 to 113 for 9.
We need to watch out Vaas and Murali in our upcoming game against Srilanka.

The second day really hurt WI. They got the advantage then gave it up. It was only a matter of time before they lost.
