First round exit, with Tamim underperforming as usual followed by his permanent retirement.

Good luck Bangladesh!

This is what you are up against.

England EXALTS cricket to an art. 444, 481 and now this. This is how this sport was supposed to be played.

Timely thread and my timely return, I am too old nowadays to set expectations, hope we just play good and do better our team was decent ODI team but most of the team caught up so quickly.

Poor expectations; Should win against Netherlands. 50/50 against Afghanistan. Shouldt win against any other team.

Pathetic batting form and absolute no game sense among batsman which is the main reason. Even after playing so many games Shakib and especially Mushfiqur gets out at the wrong time and to poor deliveries. Shamim and Afif arent really good finishers.

Fielding is sub par. With a short wicket keeper like Mushifqur it has always been risky. On top of that he misses chances on a regular basis.

I think dropping Mustafizur will be a bold but good move. Taskin and Shoriful will be decent on these Indian pitches. Miraz still has poor control over the ball and drifting down leg or bowling short on a regular basis.

World T20 2022 - zero target. Still learning curve.

Asia Cup 2023 - zero target. Still experimenting and learning.

World Cup 2023 - Beating NED is the only realistic target for these guys.

Makes me wonder, why do our players shine at an youth level and then once they make senior team they fail hard.

T: Since the 2012 U-19 CWC, the same Babar Azam has made a name for himself in the list of all time greats, while Anamul Haque Bijoy's records are limited to domestic List-A cricket.

That is the reality of so many of our young cricketers.

Realistically top 6 finish would be good for BD. I know we want to be in Semis but it's just not realistic.
