I really hope he gets an IPL contract. He is one guy in out team that can benefit immensely by being around great players and a strongly professional environment.

lol...he's in close competition for the 2nd spot...and if he performs badly, then Vettori can take over the 3rd spot...it's good. Someone should tell him this - and tell him that one bad performance can pull him down.
I'm sure if he gets to know about it, he will push for better results in the tour.

That wasn't wrong. Every year in August, ICC updates the rating points. We got 2 bonus points in ODIs and 3 in Tests.

That's one hell of an over-hyped-up post. Mind the language, please.

Well I don't get the ICC rankings. Moyna got only 2 wickets with a not so good avg. in the last series and yet he jumped up one position?
Hopefully he'll do better in Zimbabwe and be 2nd by the end of the series.....

Economy Rate plays an important part. Dont be ignorant of how crucial economy rate is, even in tests.
I would rather have a bowler in ODI, bowl 10 overs for 20 runs, then a bowler who bowls 10 overs, gets two wickets at the cost of 60 runs

Well done Shakib, we are proud of you. But kid, dont get carried away, Ash has short bursts of successes, maybe Shakib's 'short burst' is 2-3 years, and he needs to remember that. He still needs to work hard an bowl/bat like a champ for another 12-13 glorius years

I dont think Ashraful was ever in the top 20 that I was aware of. Did he ever? Shakib on the other hand has been performing since he was 17 years old. He has been performing at every age level... so performance is not something that he just does it for fun... He does it because thats "normal" to him vs. scoring runs for Ashraful is a big thing. He will exemplify his few runs whenver he gets them... that is not Shakib. Dont want to praise him too much but I have been following Shakib for a while now and other than his Test debut months,, he has always been performing without any dip in form. He is not the same breed as others...

Its common knowledge India has never had their bowling attack as their main strength.
Its their power-house batting that does the trick. Their bowlers are just there to give an idea to batsmen to chase.
ODI - batsman rankings
1- Dhoni
2- Yuvraj Singh
3- V. Sehwag
As for pakistan, they dont have any world class bowlers, afridi is their best bowler
And their batsmen are likely to make a good score, and the next match to collapse. too inconsistan to make the rankings.
(admittingly the latter is a big problem for the BD team)
