Default South Africa to play a 10 over charity match against orphan cricketers

As a goodwill gesture, the South African Team has agreed to play the 10-over match against Warid Team, which will comprise the staff and underprivileged cricket youngsters from Sir Salimullah Orphanage. The match has been orgamised on the sidelines of `Warid Cricket Series’ to inspire and give the orphans some happy moments playing with the South African cricket stars.

Date: March 10, 2008 (Monday)
Venue: Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur
Time: 01:00 pm

Source : Media release from Warid

I don't think we want to lose to a New Zeland or South African orphanage team while trying, so we're probably not going to do that .

Default South Africa to play against orphans?!?

http://www.ittefaq.com/content/2008/03/10/news0935.htm

South Africa will play agains orphans............ to boost their confidence, whatever SA score the orphans have to score half if SA batted first or if orphans batted first SA has to score double to win........... see guys even orphans dont wanna play against our national team cuz they know if they do play the situation will be opposite (whatever bd score they have to score double) man i think bd should play like this to all the national team in the world whatever they score bd needs to score half to win lol this is the only way they can win SOME matches. key word "SOME". cuz that way they will still lose some.

this charity match is absolutely great!

strangely we have two threads' headlines running simultaneously on the front page, it's not miraz mama's fault. it's actually the same thread with all the same posts. freaky!

So sweet of SA to do this to make some kids happy. They also commented about the good hospitality of the people.
