^^ He was among top ten batsmen (foreign+local) last BPL as well. Here we are questioning his consistency yet so many people already clamoring for Zakir!

Either BPL performance should be considered for national T20 team selection, or it's just a tamasha league. Which is it?
For BC it boils down to, if we like the guy, then BPL performance matters. If we don't, then its faltu/fluke/blah blah.
Mithuns worked his way back, this is the second BPL where he's had a good tourney. Maybe it will translate to int'l arena, maybe not. But he deserves consideration atleast.

Zakir is a prospect but has no business near the national team yet.

I reckon for batsmen a prerequisite in t20s should be a 25+ average and a 120+ strike rate and that’s the bare minimum.
If he’s managed that for the last 2 BPL’s then ok think about national selection but anything less than that won’t be good enough I mean that should be the required international results and you’d expect international results to be worse than domestic not that that is always the case.

BPL definitely should be used to select players in t20 but is the BPL developing players of the required standard for international t20s? If the answer is no then the tournament needs fixing up and that’s where players start getting selected for t20s through list A’s or even FC matches.
Obviously in an ideal world BPL is the premier selection tournament for budding BD t20 internationalists.

Our t20 team should have rony, abu zayed, mithun , nurul, anamul. I am sick and tired of tamim and kayes and soumya at the top

Yeah Abu hider and anamul definitely should be in there and Abu jayed does have a very good t20 record so if we are looking for t20 pacers I don’t see why he isn’t being given opportunities.

Last year and this year combined, Mithun has scored 649 runs so far, in 25 matches. Avg: 36, SR: 117.6
He looks terrific if you compare him with Mushfiq!

Well there you go probably worth a shot though, but that strike rate needs to come up unless he’s playing the anchor role like Babar Azam (and he actually gets flack for not scoring fast enough).

We need three keepers for three versions -
Test: Nurul (not Liton, he needs to focus on batting)
ODI: Mushfiq
T20I: Mithun/Anam

I must confess Mithun has been best local batsmen in BPL last 3 seasons

Haven't been impressed with jayed, I know he's taken wickets, but some lucky ones, he sprayed it, spraying at 130 in international cricket will be demolished

Why and how does Nurul slot into our national team based on performance? Liton can keep and bat in test no problem. T20 should go to Mithun or Zakir in future

Can he do worse than Shafiul and Taskin?

Mithun, Anamul, Rahi, Rony definitely deserve a shot. I'd also include Ariful in the mix.
Tamim Iqbal
Anamul Haque
Mohammad Mithun (wk)
Shakib Al Hasan (c)
Sabbir Rahman
Mahmudullah Riyad
Ariful Haque
Mohammad Saifuddin
Abu Jayed Rahi
Abu Haider Rony
Mustafizur Rahman
Extras: Mominul Haque, Soumya Sarkar, Taskin Ahmed, Mehedi Hasan Miraz
This team is better than any T20 team we put out recently and includes some power hitters down the order. Definitely worth a shot.

Mithun in that T20 WC was timing sixes nicely. Not powerfully built, but he makes a sweet connection.
Strike rotation is sth he needs to work on. Hathuru did see sth in him!

He did crack the ODI team but wasn't given an extended run like Litton Das

I am assuming you have not seen how Liton missed some easy chances this BPL?
Nurul is a way better keeper, and, for Tests, that should be the deciding factor.
