Pretty sure Trump or his supporters tweeted that lol.

The truth is that there is always a chance a refugee might end up committing crimes/terrorist act. Just like there's a chance your neighbor will break into your house and kill you. Or a bus might hit you on your way to work. If you think about all the ways you can die, then you would never leave the house. But we do go out and mingle because we want to be part of society. In other words we accept the risks because of the benefits.

Cars are more dangerous than guns if you go by the number of roadside deaths. But we still use them because the inconvenience is too great. Again, we as a society accept the risks because of the benefit.

That's how I feel about the refugee crisis. I accept the risks of a refugee hurting me, because the consequence of not helping those in need is just too great.

Statistically speaking, if you live in the united states, the likelihood of you being terrorized/shot/an act of violence committed by a refugee is astronomically small compared to being terrorized/shot/an act of violence committed by a racist white men.

Quote:
California Democratic Congressman Ted Lieu recently said the "chances of being killed by a refugee committing a terrorist act is 1 in 3.6 billion."

I agree with Yankee. People should not be blinded by such kind of hatred.

Not too long ago there was a Bangladeshi brain-washed a-ho.. who wanted to blow up the federal reserve. The FBI nabbed him... Now by that interpretation, USA must stop all Bangladeshi's too.
