Default Teams Announced for Practice Matches

As reported in Prothom-alo, the teams for two practice matches before CT have been announced.

http://www.prothom-alo.org/mcat.news...xMw==&mid=OA==

The matches are scheduled on 23rd and 25th at BKSP.Two teams stand as:

Team 'A': Bashar(Capt), SN, Ash, Aftab, Sakib, Farhad, Nadif Chowdhury,K Mashud, Rafique, Razzaque, Ziaur Rahman, Shahadat, Shafaq Al Zabir.

Team 'B': T Imran(Capt), Rajin, Nazmus Sadat, Jahirul Islam, Mehrab Jr., Manjarul Islam, Mushfiq Rahim,Tapash, Enamul Jr., Nazmul Hossain, Mahmudullah Ryad, Dollar Mahmud, Uttam Sarkar.

Now there are few points which attract my attention:

1. No Mashrafi or Rasel in any of the team.Which means both of them gonna miss both of the practice matches.So, not a good preparation for our pacers.

2. There are quite few new faces.Pardon my ignorance, but I haven't found the names like Ziaur Rahman, Jahirul Islam, Uttam Sarkar much frequent in recent discussions.

3. Rajin and Mehrab Jr are placed in the B team.Hopefully this will give Mehrab Jr. a better chance to prove his ability.

4. Personally I thought that SN should be given the chance to lead the B team.As he is the vice-captain of national team, this could be a way to test his performance as captain.But, might be the selectors want to test SN-Ash opening pair in practice matches?

What are your thoughts and expectation from the practice matches?

I Say Take nothing from these games except why isn't Enam jr going to the CT? I know Razzaq is very good but he didn't to play vs Zimbos the team he literaly owns and know he doesn't make the 15 man squad. I also thought JO should of been on the B team.

I think they split the games I see Enam Jr, Rana and Rahim coming big and win a game for the B team.

I see the B team making a real impression on the A side.

The main goal of these matches is a good match practice for the Nation Team players before flying for the CT. On that context, it would have been better, if the batsmen and bowlers of the National Team were in the opposite practice teams. Then both batsmen and bowlers could have practiced against the toughest oppositions.

If your prediction of B team winning against A team really happenes, it will be a big shake in confidence of our National Team going for CT.I would rather be happy if Ash-SN opening pair clicks and Mehrab Jr. gets a big knock.Also some runs from Bashar will be very good.He has been out of matches for a while due to the injury.Lets see what happenes.

Not just give the CT players some practice... the aim is also to give the CT players some practice as a Team-Unit. Thats why they are kept in same squad rather than splitting in half.

Also, a big win will surely boost their performance as a team.What bothers me is the lack of practice for our top pacers.
