Are we the favorites vs Pakistan?
We have Mustafizur...they have Amir
We have Shakib... they have Afridi
We have batsman... they have fielders
we have the slight edge no? What do you guys think?

Amir is the deciding factor, 4 overs of him might make the difference. Their batsman are not that good. Afridi is hit or miss..if he hits than pakistan wins

On current form and taking crowd support into consideration yes
Let's see how they perform today against UAE first.

I think our best chance of beating them would be batting first. Chasing under pressure would be challenging against Amir who probably won't go for more than 5 rpo even.

'They're bowling is away better' a big LOL at that poster. He loves to undermine BD doesnt he?
Their Bowling is no doubt a good one, there is lots of pace but except Aamir rest dont bother me. BD batsmen thrashed the legendary Wahab Riaz a good pak bowling attack with ease, look back at the 3ODI and T20 match last year and the margin of the wins against the so called 'way better bowling' was a true beating!
Amir is a very good bowler but lets not over hype him. We have a special gem in Mustaf too. And no the pitch won't be green. All our batsmens need to is play amir safely and tonk the rest BD batsmen are way better
Expect Governor to tonk them again finally we might see Soumya Sarkar take off at t20s

Yh as long as there is no afridi magic then we should win comfortably. Since Mashrafee is there, i am confident.

I dont think the pitches are going to be green any longer. Curators had to leave grass in the early games becuase its a long tournament and we needed the surface to last.

I'm 'fraid if one of the Pakistani batsmen clicks and take the game away from Bangladesh.

Aren't they playing on a different strip of pitch each game, i.e., The game preceding today's was played on a different strip, while the game tomorrow will be played on a different strip than today's and yesterday's.

Yes. I believe all strips will become dry and condusive to batting as the tournament progresses

We have a slight but not significant edge. Both teams poor at batting, but we have the batting talent. Amir is great, but so is Mustafiz. Rest of our pacers are better than the rest of their pacers.

Agreed. If we had Tamim, i would feel more confident. Now we do have a risk of Amir running through our top order. I dont mind if we get 10 runs in the first 4 overs but we need to get through the Amir spell.

I have seen both teams play in this tournament. It's 11 vs 11. Any of Amir, Irfan, Sami, Afridi, Akmal or Malik can take the match away on their days. We have to be on top our game.

A Bangla win is more likely, but with Pakistan's brand of Cricket, I won't be surprised if they thrash you guys in a one-sided contest.

Their batting is not extra ordinary but overall quite a good team, eventhough they got a complete thrashing from India. But we will be hungry for that win, and when Bangladesh is desperate and to top that desperation have run into some sort of a form they are a different team altogether. Tamim will be surely missed but if the batting plays as a unit then we will be on our way. Amir will be swinging it in, and will be expected to swing it so we should play for that and negate the swing.

There are rumours doing the rounds that Tamim might be available for the Tigers’ last game against Pakistan this Wednesday and it was learned that the chances of him featuring are high. Tamim is scheduled to report for national team duty tomorrow. - See more at: http://www.dhakatribune.com/cricket/....PdvqhMrD.dpuf
That will be great if he comes.
