We always get caught up with picking individuals and then deciding on a spot for them.
I don't want to see anymore 'backup plan players'. There should be a plan to set the 50 overs amongst 5 bowlers and have 1 (at most 2) additional players in mind who can turn their arm if needed.
Same with Batting line up. If you don't have faith in the top 6/7 to put on runs, batting down to 8 or 9 at the expense of a capable bowler makes no sense.
I would go with:
Tamim
Imrul (Nafees as next choice)
Ashraful (Nafees as next choice)
Shakib
Mushfiq
Kapali (Hom as next choice)
Nasir (Naeem as next choice)
Nazmul (Naeem as next choice if we want only 2 pacers, but Naeem's role should be as a full time bowler)
Razzak (Shuvo as next choice)
Shafiul
Rubel

You really go by the same reasoning as mine. Infact I saw one of your posts regarding "getting caught up picking individuals and deciding a spot for them" a good few months ago and couldn't agree more then. This is one of the things that have NOT changed over the years.
This is what i said in another thread which coincides with what you said here. Super Like this post.

Ideally there should be replacements for each and every position so that if one is not performing it has no impact on the others who are performing as he is being replaced.Sadly this team chemistry is such, it seems hard to achieve that.
